On a recent post I talked about how HIVE has an unpredictable price action. Rectifying, actually, and sadly it is quite easily predictable.
After every huge price spike, there is another painful dump. It is happening now. After it has spiked to $1.5 it is now hovering just above $0.80 USD.
The worst thing about this behavior is that I am not willing to sell at the pumps, although I know it is most likely to drop I don't know
- When it will drop
- What will be the max price to sell at for max price
I also don't feel comfortable buying either! For the same reasons but on the other side, when it starts dumping:
- I don't know when it will stop dropping
- I don't know what will be the lowest price for max profit
I think this creates a very uncomfortable cycle for most long-term Hive users. Those of us who want to buy HIVE and power up fear that we might miss a bigger discount. I would be very pissed off myself if I had bought at $1.2 thinking that was the dump from $1.5 and then it fell to $0.80, not because of an impermanent loss, but for the loss of the opportunity to have more HIVE power.
I think I will just wait. The price seems stable enough that I can afford to wait and watching for a few more days before putting money in.
