I have been in the crypto space for 5 years now and I can assure you that is always great to attend crypto or blockchain events.

It is advisable to always attend as many events as you can and I am going to explain the benefits.
I joined the crypto space around mid-2017 and it has been a hell of a ride with lots of ups and downs. I was initiated into the space with the famous late 2017 bull run.
All was going well until the bear run started that almost took the soul out of me if it wasn't for blockchain events hehe.
4 Reasons Why You Must Attend Physical Crypto/blockchain Events.
Do you realize that I used the word must and not should? Yes, I used must because of the importance of these events.
1. Connect With Crypto Enthusiasts
I know this sounds simple, but making friends in this space is so paramount I will give you more reasons in the later stages of this post.
I am happy to have met crypto friends I have been chatting with on Twitter for years physically as shown in this Yellow Card event below.
We all know that the founder(s) of bitcoin are(is) anonymous so we could also decide to follow a similar route!
It is always a great idea to connect with like-minded individuals in your chosen field. If you have decided to be in the cryptospace then it is paramount for you to make friendships with others in the space.
You might take this slightly but the friends I made 5 years ago have helped me immensely in the space.
2. Learn From Experts
The first blockchain/crypto conference I attended in my country here was in 2018 attended by the CEO of Binance ChangPeng Zhao mostly known as CZ where our president was chief guest, can you imagine?
Do you know what it fucking means to be in the same room with the industry's best minds, I mean the best of the best in the whole world?
I took a selfie with him but was blurred because security couldn't allow me to get so close to him hehe, but the next time he comes by I will get a clear shot.
I have to tell you that CZ did inspire me and the many crypto/blockchain enthusiasts who were in attendance, I needed the wise words of CZ who has been in the space for a long unlike me who was just a few months still learning the drops of the trade.
So folks always attend these events as you learn from the experts and also receive inspiration.
3. Recommendations
Yes, you read that right, when you attend these events people in the space can easily recommend you to bigger opportunities in the space since they have met and interacted with you several times.
We all know that there are many opportunities in the space and it the people you network with that will recommend you to bigger things!
I can assure you guys that I have got recommendations from the friends I met in the space years ago and also the new ones I made recently.
Attending events exposes you to a big group of people in the space who maybe maybe can help refer you to a job opportunity.
You have all got to remember that the crypto/blockchain space is so young and there's a shortage of talent. If you position yourself early enough by making friends and connections you will have put yourself up for many great opportunities.
4 . Crypto Gigs
This is related to the point above, but only that this one is instant! I say instant because you can get a gig immediately after an event unlike the above where it can take time.
I know there are some people who come to these conferences or events to count talent or people who can help out with some specific tasks.
I can assure you that I have got some gigs just after attending some of these events.
I cannot specifically mention the number of crypto gigs I have secured just because I regularly attend these crypto meetups and gigs.
So if you want to get some gigs then you must attend these events.
There are many other reasons you should attend blockchain/crypto events or meetups, but I have just listed a few that have directly benefited me as a person.
