Last week I came across this crazy idea called bionic reading.
It suggests that bolding some parts of the words will somehow increase the reading speed of the article itself. To put this to the test here is a sample post that should give you a rough idea about bionic reading.
The goal of it is to determine if this makes any sense whatsoever.
a reading system developed by Swiss typographic designer Renato Casutt. Built on the concept that your brain reads faster than your eyes, it involves bolding the first few letters of each word.
These bolded letters create “artificial fixation points,” which allow your eyes to “skip” over words while your brain center automatically fills in the rest and still absorbs the meaning.
I will keep this one short because formatting half-bolded words on Leo and Hive is a pain in the ass.
