Our relationship with money goes a long way in how we manage money, consciously having power over money puts us in a better place to making money and retaining money sustainably. Money's role for a desired life, security, sustainability and knowing where the next source of income is coming from is vital for peace of mind. As such the motive to earn money is of high importance.
A lesson I picked up quickly about money is, success of the past can't be relied on indefinitely, I have been in a situations of better financial standings at stages of my life. There were times when I made money and there have been times I was so broke $1 seems like $1000, Basically my lesson was whatever amount of money I make can be lost, therefore being humble at every time in life is a habit worth practicing.
Making sure not to lose money have been another lesson for me especially when I look at investment opportunities, sticking to investments of low returns have been yielding better result compared to the occasions of chasing higher returns, therefore having long term goal over my investments have been proving to be better moves.
The show off act, there have been times in younger days when spending to impress was a habit, over time I realized that is the quickest way to stay broke and a very bad habit that should never be allowed to develop. It is scary how I have seen this habit become a lifestyle to some I know and it is very difficult to put a stop to it.
The ability to withstand turbulence times in financial market, in this case crypto market have made me calm and focused on why I am investing in the first place, the act of panic selling seeing my cryptos depreciate right before is something I have overcome, there's never going to be smooth sailing to success, there are going to be turbulent times and that is what makes us stronger and experienced in whatever investment endeavors we are involved in.
Life is a journey we pick up good and bad habits, it is left for us to decide which habit dominates the other, as I go down the crypto rabbit hole, a lot has been exposed to me, some things I have to learn and unlearn, the bottom line is we get educated along our ways in life but its our experience that counts in making better future decisions and in this case financial decisions.
