It has been one hell of a bloodbath in the crypto market considering just a week ago Bitcoin was trading at a high $39,874.56, the last 24 hours saw BTC dropped below $30K affecting Altcoins as they took the trip down South causing panic sellers to hit the sell button and dip buyers alike. A notable dip buyer happens to be El Salvador, the first country to legalize Bitcoin as legal tender.
I am liking the initiative by President Nayib Bukele in accumulating Bitcoin during this dip, 500 BTC was bought from the dip putting the total number of BTC owned by El Salvador at over 2,300 (around $72.5 million).
I am curious as to the treasury of the Bitcoins being accumulated by El Salvador, it is a good move in my opinion instead of owning gold in the world bank that can be seized by stronger nations like the case of Venezuela. Is president Nayib the only one having access to the keys to the Bitcoins? This is something I strongly doubt, perhaps it has been made known publicly which I might have missed.
Aside El Salvador taking advantage of the dip, what caught my attention on Twitter was President Nayib's response to @cryptowendyo, for those who don't know her she a crypto enthusiast/investor and active on LeoFinance.
The response from the President must have been a moment for Wendy, I guess she wasn't expecting a response, I could be wrong @cryptowendyo?
Down the thread I saw no further response from Wendy to take the conversation longer, what would have been Wendy's next response? For me it would be asking President Nayib to join LeoFinance/Hive and further encourage his people to tap into Web 3's tokenization in rewarding people for their content.
On a bright side, it is great seeing El Salvador strengthening it's Bitcoin holdings during this dip.
