Does it matter how long you stay in a Liquidity Pool or could you exit and entry again to compound your returns?

I have just entered a Liquidity Pool, have some gains from it after few weeks. Now the question that I have is if I should exit the Pool, exchange in between the tokens to balance them and entry again to compound my base involvement in the pool. So if possible lets answer the following question.

Does it matter how long you stay in a Liquidity Pool or could you exit and entry again to compound your returns?
