Ready for story time with Jongo?
So this isn't going to be how awesome Hive is for it's potential! I'm not going to write about the amazing applications being built on the blockchain. Neither will I mention the epic games that have found a home here.
This post is going to be a little different in many aspects....
I'm going to talk about Hive's greatest asset. It's people!
Let's begin with that story time I promised....
So a few years ago, we were firing up the CTP Tribe!
I knew nothing about building a Discord server but was told...If you are into crypto, you must have a Discord server. O.k., let's get one!
Things started out pretty smoothly! We had the CTP team fired up. Members of our community rolling up their sleeves to learn everything they could. And we attracted people outside of our little circle.
One of those guys was a dude from the west coast of America named @torrey.blog
You may know him under another username, and that's @hivetrending from the Hive Pizza Guild!
Torrey, from the get go, was always looking to help out. He developed a slick little app while he was hanging out in the CTP Tribe, and was always around to chat and seemed to really enjoy the community.
I'm not sure of exactly how it happened, but he met up with Beard and created the @hive.pizza guild and witness group. In case you have been living under a rock, Hive Pizza is one of the premier tipping services on chain and a hub of activity for gamers and creatives.
So before I go any further, everyone should most definitely vote @pizza.witness for Hive Witness!
O.k., now I want to get to the good stuff.....
Torrey has been super busy with Pizza but has always been around to help us at CTP whenever there's a hiccup. Recently, we've run into some personal problems within the team that has hurt our ability to stay on top of everything technical immediately.
We figure things out, but there are days when we're banging our heads against the wall.
A few weeks ago, we ran into some issues with our witness server on Hive Engine. And without wasting a second, Torrey was in touch with @elianaicgomes and they started working on a fix.
Today, we hit a hiccup again and guess who was there....Never asking for a thing. Never saying he'd charge us for the help. Just a good dude, from a solid project that I thought should get some kudos tonight!
You see, this is the kind of people that Hive attracts. Yeah sure, there are faceless and nameless people behind the scenes that like to stir up trouble, but guys like Torrey are the DNA of what Hive so special.
People like him don't ever ask to be recognized. They just want to see this entire blockchain succeed.
Thank you sir, for all the help and support over the years. You are very much appreciated!
