I live in a country where the hardship and scarcity teaches you real-time finance, money and resource management and being able to adjust to the economics, the day to day hard choices of having so little means but having a lot of needs to me is a superhuman ability.
Everyone living in Nigeria can relate, the cost push inflation that has taken a whole new level has seen a lot of people run out of resources trying to bend their almost non-existent income to the prices skyrocketing on a daily basis. I'm not an economist of any sort I don't claim to be, I'm just a guy who uses his personal finance stories to paint a vivid picture for people to relate with.

I believe we're getting to that situation where everyone would need to offer a particular or relevant skillset in other to feed irrespective of educational background. This is to say education will only become a venture without value; more like a sector that can generates money within but cannot generate money without.
Certificates will only people qualified it will not make them employable because some people are educated but does not have skills that makes them employable and this is why I believe people who give value to the educational system needs to draw back a little bit, demonitize the system and allow the government make it lucrative again like it used to be in the 1970s.
In the public sectors, the retirment age is about 70, a time where people are almost unfit to function. Aside from this, their gratuity are hardly paid making it difficult for these old people to want to retire, this means younger and effective people will not get these jobs because the government does not make retirment lucrative.
You're stuck with inefficient people and ghost workers parading the government sectors making it difficult for change to take place, these sectors also perform nepotism: even if they're to relinquish these jobs, they end up giving it to their friends and family making it difficult for external personal to have a shot at changing or bringing reforms to the sectors of government and at the same time, having an employment.
Everything is wrong in Nigeria, it's a country where you can be rich today and poor tomorrow, a lot of people are opportuned to inherit some valuables and due to the inability to manage wealth, find the right discipline and carve out the right ways to channel their money properly, you have people who has successful careers suddenly begging to feed and you begin to wonder what they did with their wealth while they were active.
One of the most lucrative business venture in Nigeria is club and hotel and drugs and alcohol, why is this? People are more focused on spending on their fantasties rather than making their dreams come true. People here find it difficult to still see the scarcity as a motivation to do better with their finances.
Nigeria is hardly poor, far from it. The only problem is that the money doesn't flow, it's stuck with some specific kinds of people, leaving a larger population with meagrity. The people who control the wealth isn't using it to create more wealth, they're giving off these opportunities to create wealth to people they know, people they can control so that the wealth system will be secluded to them and only them.
Truth is, the country is heading for a demise; a state of regression and stagflation. This is why I always talk about frugality of finances, people do have the luxury of spending without caution elses they risk they incurring poverty. So many countries aren't this way and hopefully my posts helps someone who finds it relatable to be more aware and exhibit caution.
