It's the end of another season and the beginning of a new one and when I say the last season was chaotic, I didn't mean it was fiesty or turbulent, I only used that adjective to qualify the number of chaos legion packs I actually got as against two seasons ago where I got none. For the first time in over 3 months, I finally finished in Gold 2 in the wild format.
Modern is currently unplayable, and a lot of players are currently upgrading their deck to play in the new, refined bot-less format. It's been fun competing in wild, and I'm probably never going to play in the modem format again. Finishing in Gold 2 means I get to start competing from Silver one, and it's been a feisty start.
So I finished with 37 gold chests this season, two seasons ago I finished with 33 gold chests. This means that the ended season was 4 chests better, and both in number as well as the quality of reward. Although I didn't get any soulbound summoners, neither did I get any legendary card. However, I got two epic and one gold level 3 card and the exciting part is that I got two Chaos Legion packs.
It gets even more exciting, I got another Chaos Legion pack when I opened my gold daily focus making it 3 packs that I had to open. It's probably the second time ever that I've had to open as many packs at the end of the season.
Although I didn't really get anything exciting when I opened the packs, I was able to upgrade about two cards in my collection to another level, and one more thing is that I got a level 3 Gold foil SCAVIO HIRELING with a value of $1.71, that's probably the only valuable asset from the three packs I opened, but no regrets.
I got some upgrades and when it comes to opening packs you can never tell if you'll be lucky or not. I'll continue to open packs when I get them as rewards. The reason is that I have some Chaos Legion cards that need upgrading and opening packs will help me upgrade them. So I'll continue opening the packs.
My win rate in the just concluded season is actually better. I think I've learned so much about tactics and strategies, and I've settled nicely.
Although I had some rough spells where I got into some intense losing streak, but I still recovered very nicely. I also regret not getting any summoners. My aim before December is to get all my soulbound summoners to level 4. Some are already in level 4 and even heading to 5, but the aim is to make sure, I don't have any level 3 soulbound summoners before December. So I got just over 45 SPS, not bad at all, hopefully, this season will turn out better.
