The $300 billion Crypto class action lawsuit against some of the largest tech heavyweights is getting more eyeballs
In several news outlets the other day, the $300 billion crypto class action lawsuit being spearheaded by several of our own in @jpbliberty @apshamilton and @brianoflondon, was mentioned by a major news outlet.

This is the first time I can recall seeing this mentioned anywhere outside of a press release put out over a year ago.

If you are new or don't recall, this lawsuit has to do with how Facebook, Google, and Twitter all banned crypto advertising on their platforms shortly before the prices of crypto assets dropped dramatically in early 2018.
Whether or not those bans actually caused the prices to drop (and by how much) is up for a court to decide, but doesn't seem like much of a stretch to assume that the bans were not good news for start up crypto companies and newly created exchanges and projects...
It's pretty easy to see that it was a negative for the industry as a whole, and when you add in the fact that Facebook then went about creating (and launching eventually?) their own cryptocurrency, it looks very much like they were actively working against their competition.
I am no lawyer so I have no idea how likely this case is to eventually reach a settlement or make it to court, but it does look like it's worth the shot.

The amount of money involved here is truly staggering and if you owned crypto around the time of the ad bans, you could also be part of the settlement (should their be one).
So, just from that standpoint it probably makes sense to sign up for the class action lawsuit, especially since it costs nothing to do so.

I signed up for this roughly a year ago and think there is a halfway decent chance that there is at least some form of settlement here, though as I mentioned above, I'm no lawyer.
They also have a proposal to help with funding the lawsuit listed on the "proposals page", more of which can be seen here:

I for one wish them the best of luck, and hope for a speedy resolution so we can take some of that windfall and invest it back into our favorite crypto project here. :)
