Reducing the HBD Interest
Much discussion has been circulating recently about the direction of Hive, specifically, reducing rewards and interest on HBD Savings. Both are significant topics for me.
As I explained in my HivePUD post for September 1st, I am a content creator. An above-average one I dare say as I take pride in each article I publish. Engagement and support for my efforts prove this, and is evidence that I approach each project seriously. Although navigating through this rough patch that is the bear market is not easy, keeping focused on one's goals is essential.
My view is this: any type enterprise, including a blockchain, is nothing more than an empty shell once set up, as is a blockchain. If no one comes to check out what the company has to offer, then the company will fail, no matter how you liven up the appearance of its shell.
What makes the company successful are the projects put in place and the people who oversee and contribute to its well being. This allows all who venture into the company to feel as though they have a place within its confines. A place where they can grow and be recognized for their achievements. To this end, a company requires all types of individuals in place to support it.
There should be a place for everyone who desires to be a part of the company. Given my stance, I do, however, understand the need to focus on the Hive token and Hive Power.
If the interest rate is reduced on the HBD Savings, I will definitely re-evaluate my savings strategy and swap out my HBD for investment elsewhere.
My 2023 HBD Savings Goal is evidenced by my continued participation in the Saturday Savers Club.

20% interest earned on savings from 8/1 - 8/31: 3.459 HBD
September 1st balance: 316.943 HBD
Earning 76.304 HBD for the month of August was derived entirely from my weekly content creation. Also, earning 20% on my HBD savings (3.459 HBD) is a plus for my account.
September 1st Hive Power Up Day
I was able to participate and powered up 3.280 Hive is part of the Hive Power Up Day for August 1, 2023. Thereafter, I hope to complete the Hive Power Up

September, 2023 NO-BUY Month
It's time for a special challenge. I have participated in previous ones, and it's a great way to review your spending habits and build your savings. By monitoring my spending habits and setting a goal, I actually reduced my spending in areas I did not realize I was over indulging. This exercise helped me reduce the amount of excess spending on eating out / take out foods.
