Week 42 : Challenge - Benefits of Delegating My Hive Power | 2022 SATURDAY SAVERS CLUB

Hello everyone and welcome back to my Saturday Savers Club participation. In addition to my weekly progress reports published, members are given the opportunity to discuss issues relevant to them. Savings and investment strategies that have worked for them and they wish to share are also encouraged.

This week, the challenge deals with delegating HIVE POWER.

I joined the former platform in July, 2019. I joined several communities and read their posts inviting members to delegate to their communities efforts. My Hive Power was too low as a Redfish to delegate, so I waited until I reached 1,000 HP before delegating to my first community project, a curation effort.

Three years later, and I'm still delegating my Hive Power to specific communities and/or projects.

@shanibeer asks Club members to expound on what delegating their Hive Power and/or other tokens mean to them.

What is the benefit of delegating?

The benefits of delegating my Hive Power is personal. I didn't enter into it to make a name for myself as being a top delegator. I only wanted to help other Hive members and ecosystems achieve their goals. By doing so, I also helped myself. With numerous rewards in liquid Hive and tokens, it's a win-win situation where either increased liquid, tokens, or voting and curation rewards can be realized by all concerned.

Who would you (or do you) delegate to and why?

Since I believe in helping other Hive members and Hive projects, delegating some of my Hive Power is a way to help communities and projects obtain their objectives in increased power for curation efforts. I also assist other Hive members grow their accounts the same as I grow mine by providing them additional Hive Power to have: Larger voting power and increased curation rewards More resource credits to do transactions on Hive Blockchain More stake in Hive governance to support witnesses and projects

Below is the list of communities, projects, and individuals I currently delegate to. I'm particularly excited about the BROFund Community and its anticipated projects for 2022 and beyond:

• DLEASE
  The members I delegate to are primarily those in the DLease program. By delegating some of my Hive Power, I receive as shown below liquid Hive rewards daily at a competitive rate.

• CURATION ACCOUNTS

TipU program assists curators in providing valuable rewards to worthy publications. Have you ever received a TIP from one of the TipU curators? Delegations help make this possible. My current delegation of 6,051 HP rewards me with the daily amount below:

Discovery-It is a curation project that rewards participants for their 80% delegation to their project.

Visual Block is a curation project that returns 100% of their curation rewards to their delegators each week.

India United a community curation project that returns 100% of their curation rewards to their delegators each week.

Qurator is a curation project that returns 80% of their curation rewards to their delegators each week.

ECENCY is also a curation project that returns 100% of their curation rewards to their delegators each week.

Leo.Voter returns daily curation rewards in the form of Leo Tokens.

Other projects return curation rewards in different tokens.

Can delegations help to achieve savings goals?

Yes, delegations can help achieve savings goals. My receiving passive income daily, I'm able to grow my Hive account. With my increased HP, my own voting and curation rewards are increased. These benefits increase by HBD rewards. Thus, I'm able to participate in the Saturday Savers Club savings program with weekly contributions according to the proposed chart. For Week 42, I was able to transfer to savings 7.24 HBD.

Do you delegate other tokens?

Yes, I also delegate Leo Power to the LeoFinance Community for their curation efforts.

The LeoFinance Community also has a leasing program at LeoFi where I can delegate Leo Power to members. The 10.01% APR was satisfactory. In return, I receive daily rewards in Leo tokens. I participate in the Leo Power Up Day on the 15th of each month. By receiving passive income tokens, I won't have to purchase a huge amount of Leo.

I have yet to delegate my LARYNX Tokens to a node operator. I'll make that decision before year end.
