Judge Analisa Torres is not expected to formally end the XRP lawsuit before July 14, 2025, because she has no further active role in the case. Her final ruling, which found Ripple in violation of securities laws, imposed a $125 million penalty and a permanent injunction against Ripple.
However, this ruling only takes full effect once both Ripple and the SEC drop their pending appeals. As of now, neither party has officially filed motions to dismiss their appeals, which is the procedural step required for the case to be closed and for Judge Torres’s order to become final.

Still, until these dismissals are formally filed in court, the lawsuit remains technically open, and Judge Torres cannot take further action.
While the lawsuit is nearing its conclusion, the formal ending depends on procedural filings by the parties. Judge Torres’s role is complete, and the final closure awaits the dismissal of appeals by Ripple and the SEC.
