Starting something new is always awesome, setting up something is just a drama most of the times. I was intruiged by this post from @artakush about setting up a social account at the One Bitcoin Club, even though I have no idea what it is. But it involves posting and it is linkes and verified with your Hive Keychain, so why not give it a go try stuff out.
Siked! Now with setting up this account I needed three things:
- Hive Keychain (check)
- Xverse Wallet
- BTC lightning account
Now here came the first two challenges. Setting up an Xverse account, but also filling it. As the memo said to set up your free account you need to fill it with some BTC.
And you need to have sats wallet for lightning ready.I thought this would be a usefull time to start to use my v4v.app made by sir @brianoflondon. Now I also thought that for the 5000 sats I would use some fresh HIVE to send it to my BTC Xverse wallet, but for some reason this was not possible.
So sending HIVE tot v4v to sats, concluding that this sending didn't work. Trading it back tot HIVE, sending it to MEXC, trading that to BTC, concluding that I needed a bigger withdrawl amount than 5000 sats, hussling some more BTC and finally having enough sats in the Xverse wallet to get started. A lot of back and forth...pffff.
Now it was also time to check my BTC lightning adres and as @starkerz mentioned correctly with using v4v you need to use the right adres. All of this was done with some help from @minigunner and @artakush by the way. N00biness takes over sometimes.
Time to set up the account
Heading over to https://onboard.bitcoinmachines.community/ and chosing there the social account and having enough sats in the Xverse wallet meant I was ready to choose a unique username.
After this de Xverse wallet needed a link, and also the Hive Keychain was there to verify my transactions.
In the settings part of the account I added my v4v.app lightning adres and boom....It was time to make a first kind of testing post. Nice!
This has your regular Hive interface so it is extremely easy to use as it feels totally natural.
Now just now I saw a little pop up in v4v that I instantly had gotten a sat to my wallet, so I guess this seems to be working as I also have an upvote on this post. That is the biggest reason to also try experimenting with this as well. You instantly get your rewards versus after 7 days. Not entirely how the principle of Hive works, but I guess this is also good if it is there
Okay, okay cool! Now let's see how I will divide my time and effort between all of this
