Introduction to PolyCub
"PolyCUB is a yield optimizer platform that provides a safe and easy way for DeFi users to discover yield and earn on the Polygon Network. The platform was built by the LeoFinance Project which has built nearly a dozen apps in the crypto space over the past 3 years and continues to build blockchain-based applications like leofinance.io, cubdefi.com, polycub.com and many more" [PolyCub. PolyCub - Introduction. (Accessed April 2, 2022)].
The PolyCub token is the native currency of the platform. When a user purchases PolyCub tokens opportunities abound for that user to maximize their earnings potential. PolyCub maybe paired with either WETH or USDC and deposited into a PolyCub LP earning exceptional rates of return. PolyCub may also be staked as xPolyCub likewise earning exceptional rates.
However, to take advantage of these wonderful novel earning opportunities, it is first necessary for you to acquire PolyCub Tokens. Please don't fret. Just follow the step-by-by instructions below and you will discover that acquiring PolyCub tokens is indeed a simple process.
Acquiring PolyCub Tokens Using the SushiSwap Platform
PolyCub is an ERC20 token powered by the Polygon blockchain. As such, any compatible Polygon asset may be used in exchange to acquire PolyCub.
Use of a Metamask Cryptocurrency Wallet is highly recommended for its ease of use and functionality on many blockchains. For the purposes of this tutorial, we will presume that you already possess a Metamask Wallet and have Matic tokens deposited on the Matic Mainnet.
Should you need to download Metamask - click here
Should you need to add the Matic Mainet to Metamask - click here
Should you need to move assets from BSC or Fantom to Matic
Mainnet - click here
Now, let's go get us some PolyCub!
First things first. We need to access SushiSwap. This may be done by clicking here. Alternatively, you may copy and paste the following URL into your web browser and click 'enter'. The URL is: https://app.sushi.com/en/swap
Once accessed, you should be looking at this screen:
Next you must connect your Metamask Wallet to SushiSwap. First click the purple button on the top right of the screen labeled 'Connect to a wallet'. Once clicked a new page with wallet options will open:
For the purposes of this tutorial choose 'Metamask' which is the top entry in the first column by clicking that button.
Your Metamask Wallet is now connected to SushiSwap.
Moving on we are ready to get into the meat of the matter. After connecting the Metamask Wallet you are taken back to the first page we looked at above. In the first drop down, we need to verify that when we connected to Metamask (with Matic Mainnet open already in Metamask) ETH that appeared in the first drop down has automatically changed to Matic (remember for this tutorial we are exchanging Matic for PolyCub):
In the event ETH did not automatically change to Matic, click the top dropdown and scroll down if necessary to find Matic and click on it.
Next in the second dropdown, we need to change 'Sushi' to 'PolyCub'. To accomplish this task, we click on the second drop down and add the contract address for PolyCub (0x7cc15fef543f205bf21018f038f591c6bada941c) as follows:
The Polycub Contract Address is entered where the box circled in orange is in the above photo. Once the contract address is entered PolyCub appears in the area circled in blue in the above photo. To execute the change from 'Sushi' to 'PolyCub' simply click anywhere in the blue circled PolyCub area.
Entering the homestretch. Next we must enter the amount of Matic we wish to exchange into PolyCub. For purposes of this tutorial I will be exchanging 1 Matic for PolyCub.
On the Sushi page that now appears on your screen, simply add the amount of Matic you will be exchanging and click 'Swap'.
The amount of Matic to be exchanged must be manually entered (unless you wish to exchange all of the subject asset and in that case merely click on the numbers following 'Balance:') in the area encircled in orange. Click 'Swap by clicking the button encircled in blue.
Deep breath, almost done! After you click the 'Swap' button, a new page appears:
The orange arrow in the above photo points to the standard pop-up where you must scroll down and confirm the transaction (and pay the gas fee). Once the transaction has been confirmed and processed a new page will appear on your screen.
And there you go, if you see the above photo you have successfully exchanged an asset for PolyCub using SushiSwap.
Final Thoughts on Acquiring PolyCub on SushiSwap
Yes, there are a bunch of steps involved, but nothing here is rocket science. Truly, it is a straightforward process. Until you become comfortable with the process, just work slowly following these instructions carefully. No need to panic - see in the beginning I told you it was simple!
Now that you are armed with those PolyCub in your Metamask wallet, get on over to PolyCub.com and get those tokens working for you. Remember earlier I said that exceptional rates of return may be found by pairing the PolyCub with either WETH or USDC for a LP investment. But don't forget to check out PolyCub staking as xPolyCub - in my humble opinion truly an extraordinary product offered.
