You remember the Legendary story of the Lion King: the struggle, the hatred, the conspiracy and the “Hakuna Matata” vibes. Yet, at the end, LEO became the Lion King, sorry, Simba became the Lion King.
Well, nothing serious, I just want to remind you that LEO is still the King! or is it still Simba?
Okay, let me share this with you all. I was pondering over a serious concern, and I think you should also think about it:
In the decentralized Kingdom, shouldn’t every Lion be called a King? Or should we have only One King; which implies centralization?
While you contemplate on the appropriate response to this question, I’ll love to introduce you to this wonderful King, Leo.voter whose Kingdom exists in the Leoverse (a decentralized world).
☆ LEO.VOTER: A KING IN THE LEOVERSE
When asked to describe himself, this was how “His Majesty” @leo.voter described himself:

Can you imagine a Proud King who calls himself a servant? Or a King who is open and gives others the opportunity to learn more about him?
That King is Leo.voter!
Assessing his description, there are three things that are so obvious which I cannot but talk about. The first two relates to his works of service amidst his royal affiliation, and the third treats his years of reign in the Leoverse.
1. CURATING QUALITY CONTENT: A PURE ACT OF SERVICE
Curation is indeed a noble task and an act of service.
One who curates quality content goes through every available content and picks only the best for possible curation. Hence, he or she has to go through these content …. phew! so tasking and demanding.
Leo.voter together with his wonderful ambassadors goes through this stress to reward quality content.
● What Kind of Content does leo.voter curate?
Leo.voter curates only Quality, Quality and Quality crypto or financial related content posted through leofinance.io frontend or through any frontend using the #leofinance tag.
● Is a Central Body in charge of leo.voter curation?
Oh, no! You may think because Khal is the leader (of the Governing arm) of the Leoverse, hence he can influence the curation. Sorry to disappoint you, Darling.
Leo.voter runs a decentralized curation team where Leo.voter and His ambassadors pick different quality posts using their criteria. The final process of selection is unbiased and focuses more on the quality of the post in itself. The Leofinance team cannot influence the decisions of Leo.voter and his ambassadors.
Yes, THEY ARE STRONG LIONS.
● What are the Criteria involved in selecting Quality Content?
Sorry to disappoint you again, there are no hard and fast rules with regard to the criteria for selecting quality content, however, his Majesty @leogrowth (another King in the Leoverse) has some tips to share with us in his post on Curation by Leo Finance just got a decentralized flavor. These tips do not guarantee Leo.voter curation, but will make your content stand out, and "possibly" make you eligible for Leo.voter’s curation. Here is what I can make of the tips:
- Let your content contain accurate information and let it show that you clearly understood the topic/title.
- You have lower chances when you create a short financial related post, especially when it doesn't go indepth or is not well detailed.
- Creating a quality content that relates to one of the 20+ community pages on Leofinance makes you stand a better chance.
- Create an interesting or interactive post, not necessarily the boring PhD research type of post... I hope I don't get sanctioned by the Lions who are academic Professors (hahahaha)
- Always choose quality over quantity: your post maybe long without substance... naaaaa! They don't want that.
- You can post 3 quality posts in a Week, rather than 3 substandard posts in a day.
Let me add my little suggestions: Engage with other authors in the Community, engage in the Discord channel, get actively involved in and show support to Leofinance projects, also be up to date with Leofinance News and Announcements.
Remember, they still don't guarantee curation from Leo.voter.
2. PAYING DELEGATORS
Another act of service which Leo.voter carries out is the payment of rewards to all who delegate to Leo.voter account.
In other words, a King leaves his Throne to work for you all!
Be grateful to him!!!!!!!!
☆ DELEGATE HIVE POWER TO GET LEO REWARDS
I think I was in the dark, prior to this moment, and this research/post just opened my eyes to see what I have been missing.
When you delegate Hive Power to the @leo.voter account, you earn daily reward in the LEO equivalent of the Hive rewards.
Confusing?
Okay let me break it down for you.
I delegated 50HP to @ecency and every day I get ±0.011 Liquid Hive.
If I were to delegate the same 50HP to @leo.voter and I am expected to receive the same ±0.011 Liquid Hive as my reward, instead of receiving it in Hive, it will be automatically converted to Leo and I will receive it in Leo.
For instance, 0.011 Hive will give me 0.101 LEO for its current rate. This implies that by delegating your Hive Power to loe.voter, you can easily earn more LEO tokens.
☆ LEO.VOTER’S PRE-EXISTENCE
If you notice, in this last part of the description, his Majesty, Leo.voter said this: "Learn more about us at @stem.leo."
This implies that, before Hive was forked out of Steem, Leo and the Leofinance Community had been in existence. And the Leoverse still exists till today. Growing each day and nurturing young Cubs and intending Cubs (like me), New Lions and those Lions who have become Kings in the decentralized Leoverse.
☆ MY ENCOUNTER WITH THE KING
In as much as I write for fun and I write to share the little I know to others, sometimes, in fact, most times, I long for the "soft touch" from Leo.voter... hahaha (you understand what I mean by "soft touch", right?)
But, the fact is that when you worry too much about curation and who votes you or not, there is a tendency that you will continue to write for the votes and this will not help your writing journey.
So, I advice that you focus on making your quality content whether it comes or not. In fact, when I got a Decentralized Curation in my post on Bridging the Gap between LEO and Fantom Ecosystem: A Compilation of Ten Awesome Fantom Projects for Collaboration with LEO (Leo Task), i was really shocked and I was so happy.
However, if it didn't come it will not change the fact that the focus should be more on improving the quality of my content, my audience and engagement.
☆ LEO.VOTER IN THE LEOVERSE; AND IN THE HIVE ECOSYSTEM
Leo.voter plays an amazing role as a King in the Leoverse.
When Lions and Cubs create quality content on crypto, economics, market, banking system, NFTs and other financial related topics on leofinance.io communities, Leo.voter and his ambassadors curate these wonderful content and pick the best posts for @thedailyleo. With this, these quality posts get to a huge audience and it may play a huge role in onboarding them into the leoverse.
Onboarding users in the Leoverse also implies Onboarding them into Hive Ecosystem, since Leoverse is a second layer platform on Hive.
Hive Ecosystem has many amazing curation projects and delegation projects. Many communities have their curation projects, some projects extend beyond communities, some exist to curate quality content not minding the community they are in and we have some Amazing whales who curate quality content also. Overall, these curation projects promote quality, originality and creativity among Hivers.
Different delegation systems also exist both for Hive and for the second layers. Leo.voter happens to be unique in its system, such that while you delegate Hive Power, it grants you LEO tokens instead. Well, every delegation system has their own unique style.
