Today I want to talk to you about a very useful function for Hive-Engine token Curation present on Leodex.
This is not new but not hearing much about it is as if it were.
I'm talking about the Vote Weight Multiplier

Have you ever changed your Vote Weight Multiplier?
Since the Tribes and their related Tokens such as Leo, Palnet, STEM, WeedCash, etc., were born, it is possible to earn extra tokens by posting and curating within the various Tribes.
In the context of curation, however, this thing initially caused problems for those who owned many different tokens and wanted to use them all to do curation. Because every vote given in addition to consuming the Voting Power of the specific Tribe, also consumes the Voting Power on Hive. So some felt a little limited and for this reason they decided to create other accounts dedicated to the individual tokens, in order not to waste the Voting Power on the main account.
Well i'm not saying the Vote Weight Multiplier solves this problem 100% but it sure is a great tool that can be used to maximize the profit derived from curation.
In fact, we can change the multiplier by increasing it for example from 1 to 2, effectively doubling our Voting Power in a specific Tribe, in such a way as to consume half Voting Power on Hive.
Example:
- I set the multiplier to 2 for the Leo token
- Upvote a post in the @leofinance community at 50%
In this way my vote will consume the two Voting Power related to Hive and Leo in a different way.
On Hive obviously the vote will be at 50% and therefore it will consume 1% of the VP
While on Leo the vote will be 100% and consequently 2% of the VP will be consumed
Let's see how to change this multiplier:
Connect and log into Leodex with your Hive account via Keychain.
On the main screen at the top of the bar, click on Rewards
Here is a screen that shows you the Tokens you have in Stake, their Pending Rewards and, fundamentally, the relative Voting Power bars, where you can monitor your status.
Thanks to this simple but very useful column of VPs, I realized that my VPs were almost always all fixed at 100% and therefore my staked tokens were not working.
To the right of these bars there are buttons, some tokens may have two others only one. The first on the left is used to make the claim of the pending Rewards, while the second with the lightning bolt is used to change the multiplier which is set to 1 by default.
By clicking on the button with the lightning bolt a small dialog box opens after you can set the value you want for the Multiplier
As you can see, it also tells you what your current value is.
Once you have chosen the value, just click on the yellow button at the bottom and confirm the operation with the Keychain.
Let's be clear:
Taking the example above with the multiplier set to 2.
In this case if I vote at 60% then over 50% my vote in the Tribe would still be equivalent to 100% and NOT beyond, that is, it would consume 2% of VP.
For example, I set the multiplier for Leo to 5, so all votes over 20% will have the same power as a 100% vote.
You can check this when you vote for a post directly from the Tribe front end.
In my case, my 100% vote is worth 0.009 Leo
Even if I vote at 20% my vote would still be worth 0.009 Leo
And this is great because it allows me to vote many more posts than before with more power without affecting my VP too much on Hive.
Furthermore, for those who have the opposite problem and would like to decrease their voting power, they can set a negative value to the multiplier. So for example with -2 the vote starts with half power, with -3 to a third and so on ...
I think this tool is really great and I warmly thank the @leofinance staff for making Leodex, for making it complete, fast, simple, elegant and for all the work they are doing.

Oggi voglio parlarvi di una funzione molto utile per la Curation dei token di Hive-Engine presente su Leodex.
Non si tratta di una novità ma non sentendone molto parlare in giro è come se lo fosse.
Sto parlando del Vote Weight Multiplier, letteralmente (anche se suona male) Moltiplicatore del Peso del Voto
Ne avete mai sentito parlare?
Avete mai modificato il vostro Vote Weight Multiplier?
Da quando sono nate le Tribes e i loro relativi Token come Leo, Palnet, STEM, WeedCash, ecc ecc è possibile guadagnare token extra postando e facendo curation all'interno delle varie Tribes.
Nell'ambito della curation però questa cosa ha inizialmente comportato dei problemi per chi possedeva molti token differenti e voleva utilizzarli tutti per fare curation. Perchè ogni voto dato oltre a consumare il Voting Power della Tribe specifica, consuma anche il Voting Power su Hive. Quindi alcuni si sentivano un pò limitati e per questo hanno deciso di crearsi altri account dedicati ai singoli token, per non sprecare il Voting Power sull'account principale.
Bene il Vote Weight Multiplier non dico che risolve questo problema al 100% ma di sicuro è un ottimo strumento che può essere utilizzato per massimizzare il profitto derivato dalla curation.
Infatti possiamo modificare il moltiplicatore aumentandolo ad esempio da 1 a 2, raddoppiando di fatto la nostra potenza di voto in una specifica Tribe, in maniera tale da consumare metà Voting Power su Hive.
Esempio:
- Imposto il moltiplicatore a 2 per il token Leo
- Voto un post nella community @leofinance al 50%
In questo modo il mio voto consumerà i due Voting Power relativi ad Hive e Leo in maniera differente.
Su Hive ovviamente il voto sarà al 50% e quindi consumerà l'1% del VP
Mentre su Leo il voto sarà al 100% e di conseguenza si mangierà il 2% del VP
Andiamo a vedere come modificare questo moltiplicatore:
Collegatevi e loggate su Leodex col vostro account Hive tramite Keychain.
Nella schermata principale in alto sulla barra cliccate su Rewards
Ecco che vi si apre una schermata che mostra i Token che avete in Stake i loro Pending Rewards e cosa fondamentale le barre dei relativi Voting Power, dove potete monitorare il vostro stato.
Grazie a questa semplice ma utilissima colonna dei VP mi sono accorto che i miei VP erano quasi sempre tutti fissi al 100% e che quindi i miei token in stake non stavano lavorando.
A destra di queste barre ci sono dei pulsanti, alcuni token ne possono avere due altri solo uno. Il primo a sinistra serve per fare il claim dei pending Rewards, mentre il secondo con la saetta serve a modificare il Moltiplicatore che di base è impostato ad 1.
Cliccando sul pulsante con la saetta si apre una una piccola finestra di dialogo dopo potete impostare il valore che volete per il Moltiplicatore
Come potete vedere vi dice pure qual è il vostro valore attuale.
Una volta scelto il valore basterà cliccare sul punsante giallo in basso e confermare l'operazione con Keychain.
Facciamo chiarezza:
Prendendo l'esempio di prima con il moltiplicatore settato a 2.
In questo caso se io votassi al 60% quindi oltre il 50% il mio voto nella Tribe partirebbe comunque al 100% e NON oltre, cioè consumerebbe il 2% di VP.
Ad esempio io ho impostato a 5 il moltiplicatore per i Leo, quindi tutti i voti oltre il 20% avranno la stessa potenza di un voto al 100%
Potete controllare questa cosa quando votate un post direttamente dal front end della Tribe.
Nel mio caso il mio voto al 100% vale 0.009 Leo
Se anche votassi al 20% il mio voto varebbe comunque 0.009 Leo
E questo è magnifico perchè mi permette di votare molti più post di prima con più potenza senza andare ad intaccare troppo il mio VP su Hive.
Inoltre per chi avesse il problema opposto e vorrebbe diminuire la propria potenza di voto può impostare un valore negativo al moltiplicatore. Così ad esempio con -2 il voto parte con metà potenza, con -3 ad un terzo e così via...
Penso che questo strumento sia davvero ottimo e ringrazio vivamente lo staff di @leofinance per aver realizzato Leodex, per averlo reso completo, veloce, semplice, elegante e per tutto il lavoro che stanno facendo.
