Looking back, this seems like exactly the deja vu of what happened to me last year. When I was halfway through my savings challenge with the savings club, I had to dip into my stake to cover an urgent loan I was asked to take out. And this time, the exact same thing is happening, and at the same time of year. Even though this puts me a bit further away from the goal I set at the beginning of the year, which I must meet by mid-December, I'm not too worried because I feel there's still time to reach the values I set for myself. Or so I hope 😂.
Mirando un poco hacia atrás, esto parece un dejavú exacto de lo que me pasó el año pasado. Cuando estaba llegando a la mitad de mi desafío de ahorro con el club de ahorradores, tuve que recurrir a mi stake para cubrir un préstamo urgente que me solicitaron. Y esta vez está ocurriendo exactamente lo mismo, y en el mismo momento del año. A pesar de que esto me aleja un poco de la meta que me fijé a principio de año y que debo cumplir para mediados de Diciembre, no me preocupa tanto porque siento que todavía hay tiempo para llegar a los valores que me propuse. O eso espero 😂.
As time and days pass, I'm also slowly racing to reach 16,000 HP and 1,600 HBD staked in my savings wallet. This is the goal I set for myself at the beginning of the year, and hopefully, I'll achieve it by the end. As I mentioned in my previous post, last month I took the trip that allowed me to finally explore all the provinces of Argentina, and of course, I needed money to do it. To achieve this, I had initially planned to use 500 Hives and 200 HBD from my savings, plus the earnings from the posts during those days. This was a great help, but spoiler alert: it wasn't enough.
Mientras pasan el tiempo y los días, paralelamente estoy en mi lenta carrera para alcanzar los 16000 HP y 1600 HBD stakeados en mi billetera de ahorros. Esta es la meta que me puse a principio de año y con suerte, lograré cumplirla a fin de año. Como había contado en mi publicación anterior, el mes pasado hice el viaje que me permitió terminar de conocer todas las provincias de Argentina, y por supuesto, necesité dinero para hacerlo. Para concretarlo, inicialmente había pensando en usar 500 Hives y 200 HBD de mis ahorros, más las ganancias de los posts de esos días. Esto fue una buena ayuda, pero spoiler: no me alcanzó.

Three weeks traveling as a guest in northeastern Argentina, taking various buses to get from one place to another and paying for my accommodations per day, cost me a total of over $700. It was a great trip, one I loved, and fulfilling my travel goal filled me with joy. I didn't regret the money I spent because it was totally worth it, and I know I'll get it back sooner or later. Besides, as I always say, it would have been worse if I hadn't had it.
Tres semanas viajando como huésped en el noreste de Argentina, tomando diversos buses para moverme de una lado a otro y pagando mi alojamiento por día me costó en total más de $700. Fue un viaje genial, que me encantó hacer y cumplir mi objetivo viajero me llenó de alegría. No renegué del dinero que gasté porque valió totalmente la pena, y sé que tarde o temprano lo voy a recuperar. Además, como siempre digo, peor hubiese sido que no lo hubiese tenido.
Now that I'm settled in my house, ready to stop spending so much and aiming to recover from that huge expense, a new one arises for me. In less than a month, my sister needs some extra funds to move out of the apartment she's renting. Renting an apartment in Argentina is a big deal, and it takes a lot of money, so I know her request is truly serious. Since she needs almost $275, I decided to get these funds from my stable savings. In part, it's a good thing my past self made sure to have them for emergencies like these and be able to contribute to her request.
Ahora que ya estoy tranquila en mi casa, dispuesta a dejar de gastar tanto y con el propósito de recuperarme de ese gran gasto, surge uno nuevo para mí. En menos de un mes, mi hermana necesita algunos fondos extras para poder mudarse del departamento que alquila. Alquilar un departamento en Argentina es todo un asunto y se necesita mucho dinero, así que sé que su pedido es de verdad serio. Como ella necesita unos $275, decidí obtener estos fondos de mis ahorros estables. En parte, es bueno que mi yo del pasado se haya ocupado de tenerlos para urgencias como estas y poder contribuir con su pedido.

Along with this drop in my savings, I now owe myself about $475, plus the weekly payments I must continue to make between now and the end of the year. Currently, my wallet has almost 822 HBD, barely half of my year-end goal. But since my commitment to Hive is daily, day after day I'll contribute as much as I can to try to reach 1,600 HBD. As for HP, I'm not worried because I'm at over 14,200 and I know it will be easier to reach my goal of 16,000. I need discipline, but I'll do my best 😃.
Junto con esta baja en mis ahorros, ahora "me debo a mi misma" unos $475, además de los pagos semanales que debo seguir haciendo de acá a fin de año. Actualmente, mi billetera tiene casi 822 HBD, apenas la mitad de mi objetivo de fin de año. Pero como mi compromiso con Hive es diario, día tras día voy a ir aportando todo lo que pueda para intentar llegar a los 1600 HBD. Respecto a HP no me preocupo porque estoy en más de 14200 y sé que será más fácil llegar a mi objetivo de 16000. Necesito disciplina, pero haré mi mejor esfuerzo 😃.

Another thing I hope will help me in the coming months is that I'm planning to get a job as a Food Engineer. Having a salary from a real-life professional job will undoubtedly impact my Hive income, which I hope to stop taking after so long. When this happens, I'll be able to save the amounts I need more quickly, while also hoping my KE ratio will improve a bit. I'm eager to see how everything goes in the coming months: it will be a real savings challenge, but I'm going to stick with it 🙂.
Otra cuestión que espero que me ayude en los próximos meses es que tengo planeado conseguir un trabajo de Ingeniera en Alimentos. Tener un sueldo de un trabajo profesional en la vida real sin dudas va a impactar en mis ingresos de Hive, a los cuales espero dejar de descansar después de tanto tiempo. Cuando esto ocurra, podré ahorrar más rápido los montos que necesito, al mismo tiempo que espero que mi coeficiente KE mejore un poco. Estoy ansiosa por ver como va a transcurrir todo en los próximos meses: será un verdadero desafío de ahorro, pero voy a llevarlo adelante 🙂.
