PGM token: Use Cases, Market Value, My PGM Goal and My Partecipation to PGM Power UP WEEK
Hive is my favorite blockchain project, and my goal on Hive is to grow as fast as possible by increasing the amount of my Hive Power (HP).
Hive has three tokens:
- HIVE
- HBD
- HP (HIVE staked)
There are also second-level tokens on Hive.
The possibility of creating a second-level token is one of the many utilities that Hive has.
Second-level tokens:
- can be community tokens that can be earned by using specific tags in one's posts or through receiving a vote to a comment written under a post that uses a specific tag
- can be linked to a project/application and accumulated by doing certain actions such as completing a game mission on Rising Star (STARBITS).
- can be tip tokens and accumulated by entering a specific command in a comment.
Whatever the token type all second-level tokens in Hive can be bought, sold or transferred using the functionality within the wallet section of various Dex such as TribalDex, HiveEngine, LeoDex, ...
Some tokens also have staking functionality that allows for passive gain.
Those of you who regularly read my posts know that I like to set goals for the projects I like, and for this reason I have set very specific growth goals for HP tokens, which are the tokens at the top of my personal accumulation list.
I have also set accumulation and growth goals for many second-level tokens on the Hive blockchain such as LEO tokens which are the most popular second-level tokens and have the most use cases.
The focus of my post today is precisely a second-level token of the Hive blockchain that I have been accumulating for quite some time: the Play Gamer (PGM) token.
The PGM token is the token created by @zottone444.
The PGM token started as a tip token but then, over time, added more use cases.
Today the PGM token:
- is a tip token that permits to reward a Hive author with 9 quantities of second-level tokens:
- PGM
- LVL
- STARBITS
- DEC
- SBT
- THG
- SQM
- BUDS
- SIM
The tip token functionality can be activated by using the command !PGM within a comment to a post or within a reply to a comment.
In order to use the !PGM command, stacking requirements must be met:
- 10 PGM staked: 1 Command !PGM per day
- 100 PGM staked: 3 Command !PGMs per day
- 500 PGM staked: 5 Command !PGMs per day
- 1000 PGM staked: 10 Commands !PGM per day
- 2500+ PGM staked: 15 Commands !PGM per day

- is a token that can be put into stake and can be gained:
- by using the tag pgm in a post whose topic is about the world of videogames
- voting on a post that has the tag pgm.
- voting a comment written under a post that has the tag pgm.
The reward split between author of the post/comment and the curator (the person who votes for the post) is 50%/50% (as for HP tokens).
The weight of the vote depends on the amount of PGM tokens staked (PGM Power) by the users who vote for the post or who vote for the comment.
- is a token that can be spent to receive an upvote on a post using the PGM Boost feature that can be activated from the front end https://pgmshare.com/#.
important note: the upvote is not immediate and is not guaranteed because the curation activity is manual and posts on which the Boost has been requested must have a minimum of quality and a minimum of engagement otherwise they will not be considered.

In the following graph you can see the change in the value of the PGM token expressed in SWAP.HIVE over the time period October 27, 2022 - January 25, 2023 (Source: https://tribaldex.com/trade/PGM)
Today January 25, 2023 1 PGM token has a value of:
- 0.03050000 SWAP.HIVE = $0.0119895 (Highest BID)
- 0.03159999 SWAP.HIVE = $0.0124219 (Lowest Ask)
Calculating the Total Reward Value of 1 Command !PGM
Today I wanted to calculate:
- the total value of the reward of the person who receives the command !PGM in response to a post or comment
- the total value of my reward when I send the !PGM command.
Those who have less than 500 PGM staked can only send rewards.
Those who have at least 500 PGM staked have the advantage of being able to send and receive rewards using the !PGM command.
So the benefits for using the !PGM command grow as the amount of PGM staked increases, and the maximum benefits are obtained with an amount of 5000 PGM staked.
I have more than 5000 PGM staked and can send 15 !PGM commands per day.
The Hive user who receives a comment from me with the !PGM command receives:
- 0.1 PGM
- 0.1 THGAMING
- 1 STARBITS
- 0.05 DEC
- 1 SBT
- 0.001 SIM
- 0.1 BUDS
- 0.000001 SQM
I who send the command and have more than 5000 PGM staked receive a double reward + an amount of SWAP.BTC tokens:
- 0.2 PGM
- 0.2 THGAMING
- 2 STARBITS
- 0.1 DEC
- 2 SBT
- 0.002 SIM
- 0.2 BUDS
- 0.000002 SQM
- 0.000002 SWAP.BTC
In the following table I calculated the value of the reward that sends those who use the !PGM command.
For the calculation I considered the Highest Bid value of the tokens.
Each time I use the !PGM command I send a total value of 0.00326 HIVE = $0.00127
For each !PGM command sent I receive a total value of 0.01842 HIVE = $0.00717
Having more than 5000 PGM staked I have 15 commands !PGM available each day.
If I send 15 commands per day I receive a total value of 0.27632 HIVE = $0.10749$ per day.
15 commands per day for one year (365 days) are worth 39.23$.
Not bad right! Especially considering that each command I send has the function of rewarding a quality post or comment I receive on one of my posts.
I really like the tip function of the PGM token for two reasons:
- it incentivizes interaction on the Hive blockchain.
- it distributes as rewards tokens from games or projects related to games built and developed on the Hive blockchain and they are all games in which I am an active player(investor.

Today I did the PGM Power Up of all my liquid PGMs: 272.59 PGMs
With this PGM Power Up I reached a total amount of 11348.96 PGM staked whose value indicated by https://hive-engine.com/ is 135.9360$.
My accumulation goal for PGM tokens is to reach an amount of 20000 PGM staked and therefore I still have 8651.04 PGM left to accumulate.
Based on the amount of PGM staked I am ranked fifth in the PGM Richlist that you can view at https://leodex.io/richlist/PGM.
Instead, based on total PGM (staked + liquid) I am ranked ninth.

PGM token: Casi d'Uso, Valore di Mercato e la Mia Partecipazione al PGM Power UP WEEK
Hive è il mio progetto blockchain preferito e il mio obiettivo su Hive è di crescere il più velocemente possibile incrementando il quantitativo di Hive Power (HP) in mio possesso.
Hive ha tre token principali:
- HIVE
- HBD
- HP (HIVE staked)
Su Hive ci sono anche i token di secondo livello.
La possibilità di creare un token di secondo livello è una delle tante utilità che ha Hive.
I token di secondo livello:
- possono essere dei community tokens che possono essere guadagnati utilizzando tag specifici nei propri post o tramite la ricezione di un voto ad un commento scritto sotto a un post che utilizza un determinato tag
- possono essere collegati ad un progetto/applicazione e accumulati facendo determinate azioni come ad esempio completare una missione di gioco su Rising Star (STARBITS).
- possono essere tip token e accumulati inserendo in un commento uno specifico comando.
Qualunque sia la tipologia di token tutti i token di secondo livello di Hive possono essere acquistati, venduti o trasferiti utilizzando le funzionalità presenti all'interno della sezione wallet di vari Dex come ad esempio TribalDex, HiveEngine, LeoDex, ...
Alcuni token hanno anche la funzionalità di staking che permette di ottenere un guadagno passivo.
Chi legge con regolarità i miei post sa che mi piace fissare degli obiettivi per i progetti che mi piacciono e per questo motivo ho fissato degli obiettivi di crescita ben precisi per i token HP che sono i token in cima alla mia personale lista di accumulo.
Ho fissato degli obiettivi di accumulo e di crescita anche per molti token di secondo livello della blockchain di Hive tra cui i token LEO che sono i token di secondo livello più famosi e che hanno più casi d'uso.
Il protagonista del mio post di oggi è proprio un token di secondo livello della blockchain di Hive che accumulo da diverso tempo: il token Play Gamer (PGM).
Il token PGM è il token creato da @zottone444.
Il token PGM è nato come tip token ma poi, con il passare del tempo, ha aggiunto più casi d'uso.
Oggi il token PGM:
- è un tip token che permette di ricompensare un autore di Hive con 9 quantitativi di token di secondo livello di Hive:
- PGM
- LVL
- STARBITS
- DEC
- SBT
- THG
- SQM
- BUDS
- SIM
La funzionalità di tip token è attivabile utilizzando il comando !PGM all'interno di un commento ad un post o all'interno di una risposta ad un commento.
Per poter utilizzare il comando !PGM è necessario soddisfare dei requisiti di staking:
- 10 PGM staked: 1 Comando !PGM al giorno
- 100 PGM staked: 3 Comandi !PGM al giorno
- 500 PGM staked: 5 Comandi !PGM al giorno
- 1000 PGM staked: 10 Comandi !PGM al giorno
- 2500+ PGM staked: 15 Comandi !PGM al giorno

- è un token che può essere messo in stake e può essere guadagnato:
- utilizzando il tag pgm in un post il cui argomento riguarda il mondo dei videogames
- votando un post che ha il tag pgm
- votando un commento scritto sotto un post che ha il tag pgm
La suddivisione della ricompensa tra autore del post/commento e il curatore (chi vota il post) è 50%/50% (come per i token HP).
Il peso del voto dipende dal quantitativo di token PGM messi in stake (PGM Power) dagli utenti che votano il post o che votano il commento.
- è un token che può essere speso per ricevere un upvote su un post utilizzando la funzionalità PGM Boost attivabile dal front end https://pgmshare.com/#.
Nota importante: il voto non è immediato e non è garantito perchè l'attività di curation è manuale e i post su cui è stato richiesto il Boost devono avere un minimo di qualità e un minimo di impegno altrimenti non saranno presi in considerazione.

Oggi 25 gennaio 2023 1 PGM token ha un valore di:
- 0.03050000 SWAP.HIVE = $0.0119895 (Highest BID)

Calcolo del Valore Totale della Ricompensa di 1 Comando !PGM
Oggi ho voluto calcolare il valore totale:
- della ricompensa di chi riceve il comando !PGM in risposta ad un post o ad un commento
- della mia ricompensa quando invio il comando !PGM
Chi ha meno di 500 PGM staked può solo inviare ricompense.
Chi ha almeno 500 PGM staked ha il vantaggio di poter inviare e ricevere ricompense utilizzando il comando !PGM.
Chi ha meno di 500 PGM staked può solo inviare ricompense.
Quindi i vantaggi per l'utilizzo del comando !PGM crescono con l'aumentare del quantitativo di PGM staked e i massimi vantaggi si ottengono con un quantitativo di 5000 PGM staked.
Io che ho più di 5000 PGM staked posso inviare 15 comandi !PGM al giorno.
L'utente di Hive che riceve un mio commento con il comando !PGM riceve:
- 0.1 PGM
- 0.1 THGAMING
- 1 STARBITS
- 0.05 DEC
- 1 SBT
- 0.001 SIM
- 0.1 BUDS
- 0.000001 SQM
Io che invio il comando e che ho più di 5000 PGM staked ricevo una ricompensa doppia + un quantitativo di token SWAP.BTC:
- 0.2 PGM
- 0.2 THGAMING
- 2 STARBITS
- 0.1 DEC
- 2 SBT
- 0.002 SIM
- 0.2 BUDS
- 0.000002 SQM
- 0.00000002 SWAP.BTC
Nella tabella seguente ho calcolato il valore della ricompensa che invia chi utilizza il comando !PGM.
Per il calcolo ho considerato il valore Highest Bid dei tokens.
Ogni volta che utilizzo il comando !PGM invio un valore totale di 0.00326 HIVE = 0.00127$
Per ogni comando !PGM inviato ricevo un valore totale di 0.01842 HIVE = 0.00717$
Avendo più di 5000 PGM staked ho 15 comandi !PGM a disposizione ogni giorno.
Se invio 15 comandi al giorno ricevo un valore totale di 0.27632 HIVE = 0.10749$ al giorno.
15 comandi al giorno per un anno (365 giorni) valgono 39.23$
Non male vero! Soprattutto considerando che ogni comando che invio ha la funzione di premiare un post di qualità o un commento che ricevo su un mio post.
La funzione tip del token PGM mi piace molto per due motivi:
- incentiva l'interazione sulla blockchain di Hive.
- distribuisce come ricompensa dei token di giochi o progetti collegati a giochi costruiti e sviluppati sulla blockchain di Hive e sono tutti giochi in cui sono un giocatore(investitore attivo.
