As humans we all have our differences ranging from gender, background, size and how we see things and analyze everything around us.
it's always different for everyone either here on hive or offline and in any situation we find ourselves in, we deal with it in our own best possible way.
This post should normally be my goals and plans for the year, but no, it won't be, It's easy to set a target mentally and make plans to achieve them, then we never get to even make it halfway.
How sure are you about that goal of yours, how do you deal with the pressure or maybe lack of motivation, if there's none felt within you then are you always motivated 365days a year? I guess not, its different for everybody but here's a rough research done, might not be 100% true or accurate tho
According to the University of Scranton, a whopping 92 percent of people who set New Year's goals never actually achieve them. You can count me in that group.
I'm definitely one of those 92% without much ado.
WHAT WENT WRONG?
How does our conscious mind deviate from our well planned goals for the year or within a set time frame ranging from Q1-Q4.
Setting financial goals ,personal development goals and trying be a better version of yourself everyday is something I believe you and I yearn for, but how far can we go in the long run? we alone have the answer to that.
How do you make it easy on yourself or at least make it look easy
Things aren't always the way it is which is one reason I personally don't like to see someone else's achievements as being too easy or overlook the process and pain he/she might have to go through to get to such height. You might not even hit your target after putting in all your effort It happens
First thing on your plate is looking within and seeing what might be holding you back, funny thing is you can be the one holding you back or you've always been the one holding yourself back.
How is that possible??
It's very much possible because only you set your goals and only you will be able to achieve them or not. It's clear.
Building habits to achieve more.
How can we move forward in our own pace and within our own ability without getting too ahead of ourselves. Trust me I would love to have a $1 million net worth if you ask me about my crazy goals for the year lol kinda crazy right??? Yes it is.
This might be easy for someone else but seeing through and within myself I know the answer to that, I might never be able to get to such height in a short period of time, even the pressure of running too fast might give me a breakdown mentally or physically.
It's like a crypto newbie aiming at 80+ rep on hive in 3-6 months, it might work for a pro crypto analyst but for a newbie you will need to crawl before you walk, now you're trying to run too fast.
that being an imaginary example
The lesson is to go with your own pace feel the vibrations within you and enjoy every bit of the journey.
The best way to say this is to know things you can control, start there and leave what you have no control over to work on itself.
The only thing you alone can control first are your habits, what you do every 60 seconds to 60 minutes from the first second of the day to the last minute.
Accumulation of everything leads to our daily routine and helps determine how you will crush that goal in the long run.
OLD HABITS vs NEW HABITS
Just the way a house is built from below starting with the foundation layout and building from there, same as the human mind is wired to have its own foundation layout that enhance our every other action, that's the subconscious mind, the foundation to your next possible action, to building the next block.
The subconscious is what we use to know where next to go, can say the same for an opioid addict or junks addict.
These little habits from our first day on earth build a mental foundation in our brain either you like it or not, if you think about it more deeply you might not be in control of most of your actions especially when you don't have much time to think that much about it, some call it gut feeling, I call it the subconscious taking over our conscious mind.
Your old habits die hard they say, reason is that's what our mental foundation layout is and we've been building each block following the foundation layout.
The mind is very tricky and to build a new habit you need to get rid or demolish the old ones, start a new foundation.
This tends to be the hardest part of the process and many fail in this area without even knowing it.
Just as it takes time to build those old habit in our subconscious, same way it is to make new ones and create a new subconscious that can help you get to your goals and even achieve more because its now a part of you.
It's said on average it take 3-4 weeks to reprogram our subconscious mind with new habits, takes longer than that for others but sticking to same routine daily and not giving in to our old habits helps the process.
You know your old habits that's hindering you for achieving more and you can always make the change today right now.
We can't keep doing the same thing every Day/Month/ year and expecting different result.
CONCLUSION
My goal for the year is to set a new subconscious mind that helps to decipher the type of goals I will be able to achieve in the long run. It's going to be a rough road but I'm always going to keep fighting.
We all have a long way to go and time isn't going to wait for anyone, better to start now than later.
If you always achieve your new year goals then you can achieve even more with new habits that further enhance your productivity. #ALWAYSTRIVETOBEBETTERALWAYS
