A whole year with Hive and I'm asked to share just one highlight from it, it's a difficult one considering how impactful Hive activities can be on it's users but after so much thoughts and comparison, I found the one activity, the one highlight that covered a lot for me as a Hive user.
One highlight I am so grateful for being part of and would definitely be part of again if the opportunity presents itself. The Hive Zealy Campaign organized by the Leo team is my 2023 Hive Highlight.
Why the campaign? And how has it impacted my Hive journey? I'll share all that soon, so read on.

Before that, I was actually thinking of sharing my consistency with video making and the improvements I've encountered but I thought that didn't highlight enough even though I've learnt a lot in this aspect. I could have also shared gaining more roles in different communities in the spirit of giving back especially getting a good job in the city of neoxian as my Hive Highlight but then, these are still ongoing and still impacting knowledge to me.
So my focus and the one I think it is worth emphasizing on is, The Hive Zealy Campaign.
There were three zealy campaign this year, all done to promote Hive on X and I was a part of every activity from start to finish as it didn't just gave me the chance to promote the platform I'm proud of but also to stay active both on Hive and on X. The journey from when I joined the campaign to when it ended is full of many good testimonies that only those who participated would have to share.
As it says in my thumbnail, I have four major reasons for choosing Hive Zealy Campaign as my 2023 Hive Highlight. I'll be more detailed on them now.
My Hive Power Growth
If there's one thing I am very intentional and consistent about since I joined Hive is, growing my Hive power as much as I can. I've been doing that by setting achievable goals and making sure I meet deadlines. I made sure to participate in every HPUD all through this year, missed a few daily power up but I didn't stop powering up even when I forget to power in a day. That has boosted my Hive power a lot.
But Hive Zealy Campaign boosted it more, how? There were quests to make participants power up both Hive and Leo token. I used this opportunity to power up huge figures I had never done before and it felt really good to me so it is definitely a highlight for this reason.
My Increased Knowledge
Hive is all about learning while you earn and I don't take that aspect for granted at all. A lot of things I know today are all thanks to my time spent on Hive joining initiatives that helped increase my knowledge, Hive Zealy Campaign is the highlight where I got a lot more now to take into 2024.
I know better now that joining spaces, interacting with both Hivers and non Hivers outside the blockchain and on web2 platforms brings results that only doing that gives. A lot of quests made me join a lot of spaces, learn different things from discussions about Web3 in general and learn more about the Hive Blockchain. It is a highlight for this reason.
My X (Twitter) Growth
Through the zealy campaign, I've learnt that growing a following on X is a way to reach more people about Hive and what we do here. With that knowledge and some quests given in that regard, I've succeeded in drawing in more users to follow me. The growth is so significant and all that's left is sharing what I can to give them something to be curious on Hive.
From 437 followers, I gained more than 100 more followers through the campaign. I also got to understand how to make better use of my X account while I'm at it in promoting Hive there.
Huge Prizes Won
Now that I think about the whole zealy campaign thing, I can't find where I lost being part of it, it's all a win-win for me from the knowledge gained to prizes won. The experiences, the stress, the set backs, the fun and most importantly, the memorable moments while I was actively participating in it are all reasons to consider this activity as my highlight.
I didn't just earn HBD prizes, there were more prizes and with those prizes, I've been able to assist my family financially and also get some very needed item at home that my dad is grateful to Hive for.
