Doldrums is my word of the week.
That's a period of stagnation or depression. Doldrums is the best term for my pack openings.
I am opening 52 packs in 52 weeks of Splinterlands Chaos Legion. I purchased the packs at around $2.25 on Tribaldex, which is a great discount from the retail price of $4 a pack on Splinterlands. At least, it seemed like a great discount, but now packs are $1.38. See Tribaldex info below.
Let's summarize the current assets:
DEC- Recently dark energy crystals touched $0.008 and it looked like it might return to the magical $0.001 peg. It didn't and now DEC is sliding down the hill at $0.00056
SPS - Splintershards haven't registered an upbeat in forever. The downward trend continues with it resting at $0.0226. I saw a few people predicting $0.02 as the low point. @tobetada was spot on with this article: @tobetada/crypto-analysis-or-sps-2-cents
GLX - Genesis League Sports Governance Token started out so strong. I think like $0.30, but now it's sub $0.03 and trending down at $0.026. I think we will see $0.01 on GLX by end of this month. Inflation eats.
Chaos- Chaos packs are $4.00 on Splinterlands and $1.37 on Tribaldex. There was a rebound to above $1.45 a week or so ago. That might happen again. But don't expect anything above $1.50 unless Splinterlands starts burning packs.
License - SPS Validator Node License. I was hot on these. I bought two of these around $1,000 each, probably in November, 2022. I don't remember exactly. That investments getting spanked now with License only clocking $768.
The question I ask each week on pack openings is will I have a profit at the end of the year?
Seems like not this week. The return on this pack was a shabby $1.57. A summoner helped. The General rents for a small return. The cumulative cost at this point is $56.25, while the return is now at $62.25. Inflation is eating me. I don't know if I will outrun it in the second half of pack openings.
