Measure of value / Medida de valor
In essence we can say that money expresses the value of all other commodities. In ancient times gold assumed this function, which was later reserved for money until it displaced gold completely.
En esencia podemos decir que el dinero expresa el valor de todas las demás mercancías. En la antigüedad el oro asumía esta función, que después se fue reservando para el dinero hasta desplazar al oro completamente.
Means of circulation /Medio de circulación
It assumes the function of an intermediary for the exchange of goods. Money serves as an instrument of exchange. It is only fulfilled after it has functioned as a measure of value.
Asume la función de intermediario para el intercambio de mercancías. El dinero sirve como instrumento de cambio. Solo se cumple después de haber funcionado como medida de valor.
Means of hoarding / Medio de atesoramiento
Money that does not intervene in the commodity-money cycle is immobilized and automatically becomes treasure; and its holder becomes a hoarder. Today the so-called treasure can be in the form of gold, cryptocurrencies, money, jewelry, property among others.
El dinero que no interviene en el ciclo de mercancía—dinero se inmoviliza y automáticamente se convierte en tesoro; y su poseedor en atesorador. Hoy en día el llamado tesoro puede tener forma de oro, criptomonedas, dinero, joyas, propiedades entre otras.
Means of payment / Medio de pago
The circulation cycle needs money present or a promise to pay to be completed. It absolutely must be present in one of these forms. Both parties must agree on what they will receive for the deal to close.
El ciclo de circulación necesita el dinero presente o una promesa de pago para completarse. Es absolutamente necesario que esté presente en alguna de estas formas. Ambas partes deben estar de acuerdo con lo que recibirán para que se cierre el trato.
World money / Dinero mundial
It is related to the high degree of mercantile production that exists today, which has led to the rise of international trade. The merchandise-money-merchandise relationship has become internationalized.
Se relaciona con el alto grado de producción mercantil que existe actualmente, que ha llevado al auge del comercio internacional. La relación mercancía-dinero-mercancía se ha internacionalizado.
