March 25th marks the day of the downfall of Sauron the Lord of the RIngs and the fall of Baraddur. Since 2003 the Tolkien society has made this day the official Tolkien reading day to encourage fans to celebrate and promote the life and works of J.R.R. Tolkien by reading his stuff.
The Lord of the Rings and the Hobbit is not the only content of Tolkien. Choose a short story from the Tolkien reader. Tales from the Perilous Realm is a good place to start.
