to a quick look and feel review of the freshly into public open alpha released brand new #leofinance #projectblank #threads UI (User Interface) on Valentine's Day with a yet reduced feature set, but Live updates are being pushed regularly, with new features being added as they become ready for testing by us, the public, the users. Yes, stuff needs to be tested before thrown in front of the masses who will flock in to LEO Finance sooner or later. This new UI is definitely an exciting development for the platform and paves the way for it's future.
The look is pretty sleek and streamlined compared to the old one. You can choose between a light and a dark version of the UI. Personally i generally prefer the darkmodes on UIs and the darkmode of the new UI rocks! That's not just because of the energy savings on mobile, but especially to keep my eyes safe from too much, too bright and too cold blue light.
The microblogging feature named "threads" is the main focus and when you enter the site you have it directly front and center without the need to search for it. This is set to be the twttr killer. It is designed for speed and simplicity first and that's what it feels, fast and easy to use! Exactly what a good UX (User Experience) needs to be nowadays! If you want to you can always go deeper into the Lion's Den, because at the core of it all will still be the long-form post/article base for tons of in depth alpha about #crypto, the #hive #blockchain and much more.
The new notification page is a good start either, but has some room for enhancement just like the whole thing so we're not just using and testing, we're giving #feedback and #bug reports to help this baby grow. It's pretty exciting being there in such a phase of a project and even have a say in some things here and there.
I used the new UI intensively in the first 24 hours and wrote several bug reports and feedback threads already, but i'm not going to repeat all this here. Overall, there isn't much more to say without going deeper into boring explanations on how to do this and that and which button to press. This is for later when the bigger bugs are squished and things are more strengthened and the feature set is more complete. Instead i'd rather invite you to join the party and check it out for yourself, experience it first hand and give your own feedback right there ...
