Today I wanna discuss about one of the most unique technology of this era. Have you guys ever thought that there will be a time where we will type something in the keyboard and we will see the output of the same thing as a video? Yeah I'm talking about the most unique technology that is SORA AI.
SORA AI is an artificial intelligence software developed by the company named OpenAI, this is the same company that created ChatGPT 1.5 years ago that really shocked the world. ChatGPT is basically a platform where we do text to text conversation with AI, we ask something in the form of text and the result will produce in the same form of text.
Then OpenAI company launched DALL.E software which is text to image. Whatever image we want to generate just type a text and the result will produce in the form of image. This company didn't stopped there, now they are working to launch SORA AI which is text to video. Whatever video you want, you just need to write the text and it will generate the video for you in seconds, that is really mind blowing.
SORA AI is designed in such a way that it can generate not only text to video but also photo to video and even video to video too. For example: if you wanna change the environment of your video you just need to tell the SORA AI that I wanna environment of 1920's in my video, it will generate it for you in just few minutes.
Do you understand the meaning of this technology? It can turn entire industries upside down. Animators, Video game designers, Graphic designers will no longer be needed when this unique technology will be launched.
SORA AI can now understand how our world works, how motion works in terms of physics, and even it can understand our emotions too. Now the question comes in our mind that how SORA AI is doing all of this? The answer is its basic functionality that is very similar with the functionality of ChatGPT.
Basically, ChatGPT uses tokens to generate while SORA AI uses patches to generate. For example: whatever we ask from chatGPT, it will convert the text into the tokens and with the help of the same tokens it produce the results. Similarly, in order to understand the images and videos, SORA AI convert the image or video into the visual patches and with the help of the same patches it produces the results, this is how it works.
Generally, SORA AI is not fully perfect, you will see some flaws in it. No doubt it is a great technology but it is not 100% perfect. Now we can differentiate the AI generated videos with the real ones but in future as this technology is improving very fast, it will gonna be impossible to differentiate the real video or the AI generated video. This is the reason SORA AI has not been launched in the public yet. SORA AI is currently under the checking of the Red Teamers for the security concerns.
Whenever this technology will be released to the public, I don't think it will be able to manipulate any human's pictures just because of the security risks. If they does not so then it will be easy for the people to produce fake news in the public and may be different political parties will use it just to push the other party down.
SORA AI will gonna have a great impact in the field of jobs, gaming industries and other filming industries. There will be no need for the directors of the films to go to different places to shoot a film, instead they can make their films just by using AI.
In my opinion, this is one of the greatest technologies of this era. We can use this technology in both good and bad purposes but I wanna mention one crucial point that the creators of this technology should only allow the public to use this technology in good purposes and for the bad purposes this technology shouldn't generate anything like an error should come.
