When life hits or something uncomfortable hits us, we humans are usually wired to hit the blame button. And we can even go to extremes just so we can let the whole world know that it’s the other guys who are the villains in our story.
Today I wasn’t going to talk about this type of behavior that has seemed to plague Hive and the entire internet at large. It’s the blame game and pointing fingers at other people in a plot to paint them badly in the public eye.
If we are being honest, we’ve seen this happen times without numbers, especially here on Hive where many projects seem to be painting other projects badly just so they can look good. And this doesn’t only happen within communities and projects alone, but among individuals.
This bad blood has grown to a point where if we are to take a close look at the entire Hive blockchain we are going to realize quickly that this type of behavior has only created a division without creating a sense of healthy communication between two parties, projects, and communities with different sentiments on what’s black, white, or grey.
Can a house be divided against itself?
Hive is…
But that’s precisely how it’s built and operates because it’s meant to be divided against itself, but it should be unified to some extent.
We all know Web 3 is about creating diversity and opposing views within an ecosystem. Which is almost impossible with Web 2 centralized functionality. So it’s comprehensible when we say Hive is divided against itself.
Many people are being silent on what’s going on while some people like to push the emotional button to start bitching about not getting what they want just for the fact that they had high expectations, and they weren’t fulfilled.
This is one of the communities here on Hive that, I believe, has created something that is remarkable. And being premium is a part of those perks.
But at some point being a premium user to some is now seen as a way to subscribe for getting rewards. While to others it is about getting access to more features and also a way of giving back to the community for its great efforts.
The efforts that are being used to create the Inleo UI from scratch to adding threads into the pictures is something that we all as hivers should be grateful for instead of trying to create a divide just because some people are not doing things the way we want.
Life is not only about your rules and views about the world.
Sometimes being able to live to change what needs to be changed and also be able to let go of what needs not be changed is a luxury. But many don't have this.
For instance, I read an article about the community giving out a free premium to users who post long-form articles using the inleo front end.
Only to scroll down to see some remarks about how it's a plot to get people to subscribe and, in short, rip people off their hard-earned cash. Another issue there is the trash talk about the inleo community in comparison to another community that offers something different from Leo.
This is human behaviour 101 as we all want to point, paint, and propose to others that something we don't like is also bad for them. When we you can just do you and stop biting about other people's choices. Tbh, it could be bad, and inLeo might not be one of the best communities around, but that doesn’t mean what they do cannot help revolutionize the whole Hive blockchain at large.
Premium
This is something we've seen with x and I think many people also frowned at Elon when he started making a lot of business-oriented decisions, which I see with inleo premium. The only difference is that the premium is used to provide more liquidity for the community by buying both Hive and Leo with the money gotten from the premium. So instead of bitching about premium why not tell the community what could be done to better improve the community.
