I use a VPN as Im British but live in Thailand. I'm not interested in the ability to watch TV from home but its difficult to transact financially with online retailers as well as other traditional FIAT systems. Often when doing things from Thailand, I have extra security checks and have had Paypal blocked in the past . Much easier if you use a VPN set to my own country when doing financial stuff although even this gets flagged up sometimes.
Geographical boundaries are a pain in the arse. No such problem with crypto though :-)
