Who should be blamed?
I was on a shuttle to work yesterday morning, and I listened to a conversation between the minibus driver and two of his passengers. From what I could deduce from their discussion was the state of the economy in the country. From the driver's point of view, the #government is the reason things are difficult in the country. For him, the policies of the government are against the survival of the people hence people are suffering and finding it hard to survive. Meanwhile, the other passengers were defensive of the government, telling the driver that the government shouldn't be blamed for the hardship in the land, rather that the #people are not working hard enough to lift themselves out of poverty. He maintained that instead of people going into farming and other agricultural practices they are moving about looking for white collar jobs. It was a fierce and interesting discussion. Both of them had a point, no doubt, and all of them were right in their perspective.
The truth is that anyone who is a failure in life will have someone or something to put the blame upon. Some days ago, I sat back and asked myself some questions as to why I am going through some financial challenges recently. I was surprised to realise that I wasn't working enough compared to those times when I had money flows. Many people are not facing the reality that if you do not work you will not have. I recalled how I used to wake up at night and work, and first thing every morning, I ensured that I did my work first. But recently it's not so. Instead, I spend time on other unproductive ventures and I am feeling it so badly. This is a situation that a lot of people are in. No matter how bad an economy is, there are things to do for survival that many people do not want to do. Farming is one of the easiest things someone can venture into and make a living. In farming, you will not lack food to eat, and you can also sell your farm produce and make money. Instead of people doing this, they prefer to look for someone to put the blame on.
The government is not the reason why people don't succeed. No matter the policy of the government, many people still succeed. The government is not the problem but the people. That is why the people must take their eyes off the government and look within themselves. In most developed places, no one cares if the government exists or not, so long as the lives and property of the citizens are protected, then the people can fend for themselves. Everyone can succeed if they are determined to do so. There are arable lands for cultivation. If they do, there will be food for the teaming population and life will be easy. The primary problem of man is food. Food doesn't just appear, food is gotten from farming; hence, I will recommend farming to anyone struggling to put food on their table.
