Cryptocurrency is the latest as far as the evolution of currency is a concern and either we like it or not, it has come to stay because the whole world is beginning to see the good side of it. We are now in a digital world and that of our currency shouldn't be an exception.
Following the adoption of cryptocurrency, we can now carry out lots of transactions from the comfort of our home without the person next to us knowing what is going on. Cryptocurrency gives us the power to be in charge and this seems to be a major thing that drew people towards its adoption.
Now taking about cryptocurrency otherwise known as digital currency, it will never make any sense without making reference to Bitcoin which was the first digital currency, crypto is not limited to Bitcoin alone because there are thousands of digital currency otherwise known as Altcoin that has come into being after Bitcoin inception.

Despite having lots of Altcoins today, Bitcoin still remains the leading digital currency but recently, there are so many coin and token that are climbing up the ladder. Ethereum seems to be a major competitor but looking at the price to the price of Bitcoin, we can easily deduce that it still has a long way to go.
The value Bitcoin has today was not achieved in a day, it is a gradual process and that is why it will be very bad to rule Ethereum out of the race. Bitcoin has always been a major determinant of other Altcoin but recently, Ethereum shows that it can really survive on its own.
So many DeFi projects are going on on the Ethereum network currently which has lead to an emergency increase in the rate of Ethereum, experts have predicted a price of $800 landmark before this year runs out if all things remain equal. Aside from Ethereum, other yield finance token is doing well which shows that the competition is very much high.
With all these happenings in the crypto space, can we say Bitcoin will continue to dominate as the leading cryptocurrency or are we going to experience an overtaking as time goes on as the world continues to adopt digital currency?
