I think that is too cool a title for what this post is actually going to be yapping about but it hath been typed thus it will be so.
I noticed one thing that contributes to me not really wanting to buy other tokens almost more than the hassle of researching them and deciding if I like the logo.
That thing is having to have different wallets, but before that having to login to different places to know what the fuck is happening.

Portfolio Trackers
With a quick search a few days ago I pulled up some results for the best portfolio trackers... Crypto journal did not yield much. I forget.
What I wanted:
- Separation of assets across exchanges or other categories
- Preferably mobile and desktop
- I just want to see shit in one place
What I got:
- Everything above, kinda.
As it goes and baffles me to this day is when a person is looking for a new tool how it seems some do everything except the most basic things. Then others do those basic things but try to use them as leverage so you have to do a bank loan to get the features.
Fortunately, if you are willing to compromise then on the internet it is quite rare to have to pay. Which does make me think Eth will probably have to sort out their gas fees because it really is not the end all be all software thingy.
So I tried, Altpocket , CoinTracker, CoinStats and Unspent all of which fail at the first item. No separation, they assume I just want to track tokens for the sake of it. They provide only a single place to add a token which means I can't track multiple holdings from say separate wallets etc etc.
They also are trying to upsell me and the upsell from what I can see is super niche and on one seemed almost like some social mechanic. As though I care wtf others are holding and wanna chat about it over a fucking cucumber sandwich.

Anyway...
Blockfolio
I like it although it only has the mobile app which does get on my nerves because if I am by the pc which is 80% of the time. Then I do not care to use an app.
It is exactly why I have like Ecency for Hive, it's only use is when not by the pc and even then I really have to be in the mood to even use.
Mobile apps just suck, there is no way around it. They can never replace a proper web app. Let me be more specific, desktop web apps are worse than an insidious mobile app. Just make shit work in the browser if it is that kinda thing else make it be proper software and don't pull the discord crap.
Actually, discord on the phone is pretty nifty but I am getting sidetracked. Discord on a desktop must DIE!

The main reason I tested a few others and even started with setting up my own portfolio tracker using Google Sheets and the CoinGecko API is: One their frontpage says most popular and two it is mobile only.
I might actually still use the CoinGecko API and either sheets or maybe it would be nicer to just have a Github Pages or something just so I have a web interface that I can fiddle with.
For now I like BlockFolio since it does connect with a few exchanges one of which is Binance and the rest I added manually.
I was able to split portfolios across wallets and now can easily cycle through each named portfolio easily and have values shown in my currency.
I don't because my currency makes no damn sense when online everything is in USD. Hint, hint you fuckers who insist on native language crap.

Currently, the portfolio is lying to me as you can see everything is green.
...I really thought there was more. As in maybe there is more to explain not sure. At this point I think I have literally described the app in just a few lines. This post could have been a lot shorter.
Sooo... Blockfolio is pretty nifty especially since it has the flexibility of custom portfolio pages and some minimal settings on how they get displayed.
With signal you get to see news from different crypto projects and you are able to set custom alerts for any of the currencies you follow in each currencies settings page.
For now it is probably the cleanest option available and no I did not check out the CoinmarketCap Porfolio app because I am pretty sure they are a bunch of dickheads.
