In the past few years, the crime rate in Nigeria was so high but currently if we take a keen look at the crime rate in Nigeria we would observe that the crime rate has reduced drastically to the bearest minimum. With that being said, it won't augur if we ignore the reason why we are able to achieve this fit.
Before the cashless policy was introduced, it has been stated the positive impact this policy would bring. Imagine, currently hardly you would hear any case of kidnapping and at the end ransom would be asked for. That's stopped on that part. On the other part, unnecessary embezzlement has also stopped, hoarding of naira not has reduced because most of these not have been deposited. Of course, no kidnapper would want to ask for random via bank transfer when they know that every bank transaction is trackable.
Another thing, this cashless policy has reduced corruption practice like bribery, extortion, nepotism, lobbying and many more. Even to say further, the cashless policy is to curb the issue of vote buying in the forthcoming election because most politicians have hoarded old N1000 and N500 to rig the next election. The aim of this policy is to allow people vote their mind and whoever they want.
