I want to use this medium to greet all great Hivers. How has been your day so far, hope you are all doing good? I'm positive minded that it's all well and fine.
One of the most important things to put into consideration when one wants to venture into rearing Broiler chicken for business. This is it, whenever people come to me for advice on the number of Broiler chicken they want to rear, my first question does the person has the space that contains that number. Another thing is some people go into this rearing this Broiler chicken for business with this mind of the way they rear local chicken and meanwhile, the differences in rearing both birds are far off.
The importance of space when rearing Broiler chicken for business.
If at all you intend to have a safe harvest at the end of the day, you have work with the available space that you have. What's so funny is that a space can accommodate 50 birds from day old till six conveniently while also that same space can contain 200 birds from day old to two weeks but what if they are beginning to occupy space to six weeks? One would observe that it won't contain them anymore, then the pen would be overcrowded. And when it's overcrowded, lot of things may occur which are;
When there's no much space for birds, it would lead to overcrowded. And a pen being overcrowded can leads to lack of space and ventilation which can result in the birds not growing very well.
Another reason why you should work with the space available for you is to avoid diseases because an overcrowded Pen can leads to the Pen being messed up every now and then which can leads to development of diseases and viruses in the pen.
Another cogent reason why you should work with the space you have is that so that you won't be overworking yourself every now and then. Perhaps, when a pen is choked with birds, there droppings alone will be messing up the whole place as quickly as possible and there may be need to be taking care of the pen every now and then.
Moreso, not working with the space you have can also make you run at loss in the sense that, when there's no much space and ventilation for the birds to explore this may cause the birds not give back the weight base on the feed they are consuming.
