I want to use this medium to greet all great Hivers. How has been your day so far, hope you are all doing good? I'm positive minded that it's all well and fine.
Today has an hectic day as it used to be anytime I just brought in my new day old chicks and to be precised, this batch is my 15th batch of rearing Broiler chicken for business and commercial purposes. It has always busy schedule for me. For example, like things to put in place before the arrival of the day old birds. From getting litter materials (sawdust) to getting their feeds and washing and sanitizing their drinkers and feeders that were being used by the previous Birds. Some preparatory arrangements seem to make the day to be a hectic one. Then also, making sure the birds settle in well and making their adaptation to the new environment an easy one.
Some observations from the new day old birds.
Noise; The first thing I hsve observed which find so annoying but normal is that, they make a lot of noises as if they are scared of something. Some of them even make noise that is scary to the extent that you will think they are being bitten by reptiles or ants.
Feeding and drinking; They settled in terms of the feeding aspect. They are quick to settle in with feeding, they don't go about picking around and at the same they do not find it difficult to learn how to drink from the drinkers.
- Staying in group; Furthermore, I observed they like staying in segment. Some of them like to flock together as the saying. I don't know maybe the reason for that is because of heat transfer.
