The ongoing zealy campaign is fun, to be sincere.
I've learned a lot in a very short period, and I hope to learn more as the campaign continues.
The first space I joined was that of Khal. He talked about the two new Leo ambassadors, who would have to bring in new users to the platform and get rewarded. I was able to learn of the massive increase to 18000 MAU, it's an impressive improvement that is worth celebrating.
About the second space, I was really excited to see the topic that would be discussed. So I set a reminder for it.
But unfortunately, I couldn't stay awake till that time of the night, I woke up around 3 am to see that I'd missed the beginning and therefore wouldn't be able to do my quest.
But then, after checking back on the quest board, I saw a new quest. There I discovered there's an opportunity to still benefit from the space meeting. So I quickly clicked on the link and listened to the recording.
Here is the space recap.
So many participants! What are you waiting for? Hurry and join the campaign!!!
The host of this space was Bread and the subject of discussion was on how one can keep the community active after mint.
To be honest, I found this topic very interesting and important. Because what will be the benefit of establishing a community when there's no knowledge of how to keep it growing?
I feel managing and growing a community may even be harder than the minting process. It isn't that easy to organize a group of virtual individuals.
However, Bread and other speakers shared insightful tips on how to prevent a community from going silent. So without wasting much time let me dive into my summary of the key takeaways:
Leaders as Role Models: The speakers emphasized that leaders should lead by example, actively participating and creating a welcoming atmosphere. They suggested giving members cool titles based on their talents and planning fun activities to foster informal bonding.
**Make Participation Fun: ** Good leaders understand that community-building is just as important as completing tasks. By making participation entertaining, and turning "should-dos" into "want-to-dos," inside jokes and memories are formed, transforming the community into an extended family with quality engagement.
This can be done in the form of giveaways or contests. Even organizing discord live meetings centered on interesting topics was discussed as one of the best ways.
Valuing Members: It's crucial for members to feel listened to, valued, and cared about, especially during challenging times. Leaders should never take support for granted and must respect the individuals who make up the community.
Putting People First: Viewing members as multifaceted individuals, rather than just numbers or money generators, is essential in web3. Networked cooperation thrives when individuals are prioritized.
In conclusion, it should be understood that lasting connections are built on caring bonds, not just rules or rewards. While technology allows strangers to connect easily, deeper ties are formed through understanding and supporting one another. It will be fun if we embrace these timeless principles and use modern tools to create thriving human circles.
If you have read to this point, I'm grateful. Thank you so much for your time and support.
