When every day we see the advances in the cryptographic field together with a growing interest on the part of more and more people in the subject, it is when we can ask ourselves a very simple question: Learning about cryptos is a luxury or a necessity?
Luxury or necessity?
While it is true that many people seem to think that cryptos are a luxury, a fad, it is also true that more and more people are making huge profits with this, since the possibilities in this regard are endless.
The number of options to earn money today with cryptos are so vast that perhaps we would not be able to imagine them all, but to mention some of them, we could talk about DeFis, NFTs, P2E (Play To Earn) games, etc. Not to mention the most basic option of all, which is trading in general.
Buying and selling cryptocurrencies is the option that most people use by far, but some do so by focusing on short- and medium-term profits, while others focus on long-term holdings.
The fact is that there are many options, and they will be increasing, and in this scenario, the main factor here is that cryptocurrencies will be something of common use in the future, and not only because they allow us to obtain profits, or because every day it will be more trend, but for the fact of being something that will make life easier in many ways.
Privacy: An essential factor
In the futuro, not only will we use cryptocurrencies as we use normal money (fiat money) today, I mean not only is the fact that they will replace fiat money in its entirety at some point, but there is also the fact that thanks to its base technology (the blockchain technology) and their encrypted nature, they will allow us to achieve greater security in all aspects of daily life.
Things like property records (such as real and personal property) will be registered on the blockchain, but also professional titles, medical records, insurance records, and anything else that is capable of being registered will be registered on the blockchain. This allowing us to access our data and information at any time we require it and what is more, it will allow us to share it with whoever we need to share it with and in a totally secure and decentralized way.
The freedom factor
If to all of the above we add the fact that cryptocurrencies give us the freedom to dispose of our money in a way that we never had before with fiat money and the traditional banking system, we will understand why learning about cryptocurrencies is a necessity and not a luxury.
I mean, the fact of being able to mobilize or transfer any amount of money that we may have, to anyone and anywhere in the world, without requesting permission from third parties, such as governments and banking institutions, is one of the insurmountable advantages that cryptocurrencies offer for those of us who use them. This is something that many people still don't seem to understand, but more and more will understand in the future, because sooner rather than later everyone will realize that the only requirement to transact with cryptocurrencies, besides the commissions of network, is to have the cryptographic funds in our Wallet.
A new kind of ignorance: Not knowing about cryptocurrencies
Given all of the above, it is clear enough that there is now a new type of ignorance, which is not knowing about cryptocurrencies.
While in the past a person who could not read or write was considered ignorant, with the new paradigms humanity has reached the point where technological knowledge, and especially about cryptocurrency, will be essential not only so that individuals are not qualified as ignorant, but so that they can function better in a world that will be increasingly more organized, and that will be safer and more efficient in every way and where there will be greater financial and personal freedom. But yes, we must remember that freedom (of whatever kind) brings with it responsibilities and is something we should never forget. So to emphasize, learning about crypto is a necessity, not a luxury.
