So the new year is upon us and we have closed out all of last year's positions. So what do we do now ?
Well with the US markets still staying high and knowing that with US TAX DATE of April 15, 2020 is when people take a little of the top to pay their 2019 taxes, we are going to put on more OPTION Spreads and leave our equity positions alone.
Remember we will be selling March OPTION spreads and putting the money in our account. As we get closer to the March expiration date we will buy them back at a lower price and collect our THETA (Time) money.
Now what do we do with Steem ??? Well with Steem back down at 12 cents. We are looking to add our to position in it.
Why ? its a bear market .. it is losing users.
While I agree it is losing users, the users we are losing is the type of user we need to weed out. Steem is know as a blogging platform or alternative to Medium, Reddit through the Steemit front end. Now this was true in the past but 2020 will be the year that we really separate Steem form Steemit and blogging.
But what will do this ?
SMT's, NFT's.
Splinterlands creating the 1st real Steem backed NFT's but now are moving on to Tron and ETH, with a big VC investment they are looking to grow quick. This is great for them but leave's Steem behind.
However the next generation of STEEM powered games are being developed and with Steem-Engine marketplace (which we would not have without steemmonsters/splinterlands making it easier for being to build and trade NFT's. The new games will drive new users to Steem. As we migrate people's understanding that Steem powers these games losing the bloggers you wanted to get rewarded for posting ... sometime's questionable content. We will add gamer's who want to spend FIAT on NFT's to play games they love.
The overall Steem-Blockchain ecosystem will strengthen.
Will blogging still have a place ? Yes it will but it will be in its own communities powered by their own SMT. It will be 1 piece of the larger blockchain.
So what Steem-Enigine Tokens will we be buying ? Right now BATTLE and GG. Battle is going to power Radaquest, Pirateworld, SteemQuest & SteemTrek NFT's.
GG is doing more of the gambling sites.
How long will we hold these ? Not sure we could look for a position and then close out part of the position every 20% gain.
We are also going to load up on MAXUV, SPI(invest), TRDO tokens. These act like investment funds to counter the new reward curve.
