Nuclearis, a manufacturer of precision mechanical components for the nuclear industry, is using the Bitcoin blockchain to verify the manufacturing scheme for the parts that make up a nuclear power reactor.
It was announced on Tuesday, that Nuclearis, which is headquartered in Buenos Aires, Argentina with offices in the United States and China, is using the Bitcoin-backed RSK blockchain as a steady anchor, while maintaining tabs on important documents.
The RSK blockchain developed in consultation with IOV Labs uses a process called "merged mining" to run side chains on the Bitcoin blockchain and harvest the hash power of the largest cryptocurrency.
"The stability and security that the blockchain provides is of the utmost importance to the nuclear industry," IOV Labs CEO Diego Gutierrez Zaldivar said in a statement.
