They think that if people like them on Instagram then they are successful but in life, they do not have money to pay their EMI.
Flex culture means showing off and people wear branded shoes, buy iPhones, and get photographed with luxury cars just because they want to show off that they are rich but when the electricity bill comes, they get stressed because this lifestyle is based on loans, credit cards, and borrowings. For today’s youth, it is necessary to appear rich. One does not become rich. Many people start comparing all these show-offs. A boy who is working hard, fulfilling his dreams, but is posting vacation photos in Maldives on social media, then this boy thinks that he cannot do anything. Whereas maybe the boy who went on vacation has taken it on loan. The real belt is peace, satisfaction, and financial security. The thing that is visible is not always real.
Social media creates an illusion. People only show their highlights there. No one shows their struggle, how much loan they took for that luxury card and no one tells how low their credit score is it is just a show-off and we are getting away from our real life in the pursuit of showing off.
