Nowadays everyone wants to look classy No matter what the situation is inside, people buy expensive things to show off on social media They wear branded clothes and live a lifestyle They keep it as if they have everything But the truth is that many people spoil their savings due to this pressure and the expenses incurred to maintain their status are more than necessary All this becomes a sham and the actual financial condition slowly starts deteriorating.
When there is competition everywhere to show off, everyone gets into a race to show off If my friend has bought an iPhone, I also want to buy one If someone is wearing branded shoes, I should also have them and this thought forces us, as children, to spend money for our ego We buy phones on EMI or loan We shop using credit cards Just so that we can be seen in the society In this pursuit of showing off, We forget our real financial priorities.
There comes a time when we start spending beyond our monthly budget and instead of saving the monthly money, it is paid in showing off and when there is an outing in a friend circle, you spend more than your pocket to show that we can make an effort This kind of behavior becomes a habit and once the habit is formed, it becomes difficult to leave it and this thing was silent It hollows our future.
Our parents have always taught us that we should stretch our legs only as much as the bedsheet allows, but in today's world people have started stretching their legs themselves People take loans to maintain their status They spend more on it and put their necessary pressure on it Financial stress starts increasing, but no one is ready to understand Everyone thinks that everything is normal Until the money runs out completely or the burden of debt increases.
Another big problem is that people do not accept their real income and expenses and despite their low income, people do expensive shopping They go on vacations and try to show their lifestyle as upper class When people start comparing themselves with their friends, they feel that if they are left behind, people will make fun of them and this thought process is the worst and because of this comparison, we start doing all those things which are beyond our capacity.
Sometimes people spend a lot of money just to post a selfie or story and go to expensive coffee shops to take photos Buy new clothes just for a function and designer items just to wear to parties and when all these things are done just to make an impression, then the pressure of real life starts increasing Financially we become so weak that in times of emergency, nothing is left Showing off becomes an elevation.
When expenses start exceeding income, then financial imbalance starts coming Every month money starts falling short Bills also slip Interest on credit starts increasing and EMI starts defaulting But still people do not change their habits Every time they think that they will be careful next time but the next time they spend more By the time they realize, the financial damage has already happened and it becomes difficult to recover it.
Friends, if these relatives are living well, then their results are always visible Not their journey and maybe they have inherited wealth or their sources and income are more stable, but without knowing what we start comparing our lives with and this comparison is the first step Everybody's life is different and everybody's savings are different to take oneself into financial trouble and If you understand this then there will be no need to show off.
Many people, under the influence of their friends, buy new luxury items and subscription services and later realize that these things have no long-term benefits It was just a short-term satisfaction that turned into guilt after the end When financial pressure increases, one is under stress It also affects health Sleep is reduced Anxiety starts increasing and one keeps on killing time and showing off always takes away a peaceful life.
When we start living under the pressure of social status, we forget our real identity Every time we try to impress others, we say what we think Money is not just for survival It is also for our well-being and peace If we waste it just to show off, we will never get stability Financial security comes only when we create a balance between our expenses and income This balance will come only when we stop trying to impress others.
In childhood, we were taught that saving money is important but as we grew up we forgot all those things Now spending money has become a friend, and saving it seems old-fashioned and this mentality is the first step toward financial downfall when we live for our social image then we ignore our future If an emergency comes, we are left with nothing Then we understand that the pretense was only temporary but its damage has become permanent.
If we start using our money wisely, we can achieve our goals, but for that, we have to understand that the pressure of money is just an illusion Everyone's journey is different and we should value our own journey Money gives happiness only when it is in the right place If we spoil our financial health just to show off our status, then we will be the only one to suffer the loss Society will move on, but we’ll be stuck with the consequences, but we will get trapped in it.

If we stop showing off, our life will become even simpler and when contentment comes in real life, then there will be no need to show off and focus on your financial goals for your future and live your life for yourself and not impress others and when you are a financial seeker, then you will get mental peace automatically and that peace will be more valuable than any brand item or a luxury trip Understanding the real priority of your life is the biggest sign of maturity.
