How To Make A Suggestions
(1) Transfer 100,000 (100k) DEC tokens to null from the same account that will be publishing the proposal post and note the Hive blockchain transaction ID of the transfer (can be found on https://hiveblocks.com and will be added to the Currency Activity page on the Splinterlands website shortly).
(2) Publish a post on the Hive blockchain detailing the proposal and include the hive blockchain transaction with the DEC payment as the VERY FIRST LINE in the post.
(3) Tag the post with #spsproposal.
(4) Stakeholders can upvote the post if they support the proposal or downvote the post if they do not support the proposal.
(5) After 7 days (when the voting period ends for Hive blockchain posts), the Splinterlands team will calculate the total staked SPS held by all users who upvoted the proposal post and all users who downvoted the proposal post.
Additional Information:
If the total of the staked SPS in the accounts that upvoted or downvoted the post is at least 5% of the total staked SPS in the system (roughly 473M currently), at least 66% of those were upvotes, AND the proposal meets the other guidelines described below in the linked post, then the proposal will move to an official vote and be published on the proposals page of the Splinterlands website. RentMoney's Thoughts
Its great to see this new step in SPS Governance being implemented. If I had to nit-pick something the 100,000 Dark Energy Crystal (DEC) fee would be it. I feel as that price point might be a little steep considering the fee is for all suggestions. I do understand the need to limit suggestions as there is likely to be a decent amount of ongoing manual work to over-see this new implementation. That being said another way to go is having a suggestion fee and a listing fee. For example if one wants to make a suggestion to the SPS stake holders the cost could be 25,000 DEC (Suggestions go on the hive blockchain as outlined above) and if that suggestion gets enough votes from SPS stake holders an additional 100,000 fee would be needed to list said suggestion on the Splinterlands site thus making it an official proposal. I believe we might see more but not an overly amount of suggestions thus more burned DEC this way. *$100 for creating a suggestion might be a little too high to garner enough interest to make this a viable DEC burn. Personally I can't wait to see the potential proposals that the Splinterlands community comes up with.
Chaos Legion
Less than 2.5 million Chaos Legion Packs remain. With a daily burn of 25,000 and ongoing sales these packs won't last long. Before we know it we will be seeing the "Sold Out" image displayed. If you have been waiting to purchase packs from the official site the time to do it is now as after another 465K packs sell another airdrop card will be revealed and dropped to those who qualify.
Chaos Legion Booster Pack
The Splinterlands Chaos Legion Booster Pack contains five NFT's that are playable within the game of Splinterlands. These NFT's can be traded within the games marketplace and on many secondary marketplaces. Each booster pack contains at least one RARE nft and four COMMON nft's. Booster Packs can be purchased in game or on secondary markets such as Hive-Engine.
