Starting something new is often a difficult task. Therefore, with the aim of creating a simple guide for new Hive users, I came to write this post. I won't go into too much detail, I'll just present the basics and some tips.

Hive Power & Resource Credit
To interact with the network, send posts, comment, make threads, among others, you use the Resource Credit in your account, which regenerates over time.
To have RC you need HP. HP is Hive Power, basically it is the staked Hive token. As your need to post more increases, or the number of transactions is more than available, you will have to increase your HP using Hive.
Inleo
The leofinance restructuring platform is now known as the twitter of hive. Here you can create threads and interact with other users through comments.
Leo's stake is quite important. There is expected to be a distribution of rewards from ads that will be proportional to the amount of oil you have. This is because they give you guidance on what to say, how to say it, from then on you get used to writing and having a structure in your text. Not to mention that at the beginning few people know you, so the incentive to participate and fulfill the contest requirements will help you gather some HP.

Tags
In the past, many people focused on tags that gave tokens, but this has changed. Your first 5 tags are very important, because they will tell the âworldâ what your post is about. The other last 5 are your choice and can be used as an extra. Some extra tags are: PIMP, leo, pob, neoxian, archon.
If you are going to write a post in Portuguese, don't forget to use the hivebr tag, because this way the curators of the Hive BR community will be able to analyze your post and if it complies you can get an extra vote.
Communities
It is very important when sending your post to choose the community that best fits the general subject of your text. Ex: If you write about splinterlands, submit your post in the splinterlands community. If your post is in Portuguese, send it to HiveBR.
If your content fits into more than one community, use repost and send it to both. Pay attention to community guidelines, as some do not accept reposted posts.
Ecency Tip
ecency has two very interesting features. The first is the boost where with 150 points you can have the chance to receive $1 curation. To receive points you need to interact with the front-end: comment, like, send posts. Another way to earn points is by delegating HP to Ecency.
The second is promotion, you choose the number of days and pay corresponding points so that your post appears in various places on the ecency. It's a way to promote another good post that you want more people to see.

AlĂ©m disso, quanto mais LEO vocĂȘ tem, mais bem visto na comunidade vocĂȘ Ă©, porque isso mostra que vocĂȘ acredita no projeto por estar holdando o token.

Ă muito importante na hora de enviar o seu post de escolher a comunidade que mais se encaixa com o assunto geral do seu texto. Ex: Se vocĂȘ escrever sobre splinterlands, mande seu post na comunidade splinterlands. Se o seu post Ă© em portuguĂȘs mande na HiveBR.
Se o seu conteĂșdo se encaixa em mais de uma comunidade, usa o repost e envia nas duas. Fique atento sobre as diretrizes das comunidades, porque algumas nĂŁo aceitam posts reenviados.
Dica Ecency
A ecency tem duas funcionalidades muito interessantes. A primeira Ă© o boost que com 150 pontos vocĂȘ consegue ter a chance de receber $1 de curadoria, para receber pontos vocĂȘ precisa interagir com a front-end: comentar, dar like, enviar posts. Outra forma de ganhar pontos Ă© delegando HP para a Ecency.
A segunda Ă© o promote, vocĂȘ escolhe a quantidade de dias e paga pontos correspondentes para que o seu post apareceça em vĂĄrios lugares da ecency. Ă uma forma de divulgar mais um post bom e que vocĂȘ quer que mais pessoas vejam.
