How are you all doing today? Holiday mood? Same here.
It doesn't feel like working. Neither does it feel like doing anything significant. However, reading posts on Leofinance and following crypto twitter are the only two things that I am doing this holiday season.
While reading the posts on Leofinance today, a thought came. I was curious to know how Leofinance members navigate the platform.
For me, it is quite simple. I follow around 200 Hive members. When I log in to my Leofinance platform, the first page gives me the curated posts (top5). Right below that we have trending posts and the new posts on the Hive blockchain. The new posts are not sorted or categorized but includes all the posts (with leofinance tag?) on the blockchain.
Curated section
So, when I surf the platform, I tend to read the curated posts which are regularly refreshed but not that often. For example, the same articles are on the top for the good chunk of the afternoon. Write more quality posts fellow users (:P).
Trending page
This is my personal choice but I tend to not read the trending page beyond the top 10 list. I don’t know the reason but I don’t have patience to go through all the articles on the trending page. There are always few quality posts on the trending section. I follow most of the users who regularly trend and don’t need to go through that section anyway.
New posts
I always navigate to the new articles section to read the posts. It could be because I still have the lingering effect of the previous curation model where you are supposed to curate new posts to gain on rewards. Or, it could also be due to my leniency towards all those budding writers who do not get enough rewards. After all, my vote on Leofinance matters (and that feels good).
Topic tags
I never use the topic tags available on the first page to find articles. I don’t know why but that never catches my attention. I firmly believe that this is the area the development team should look into from a different perspective. I don’t think this feature is being actively used by users.
So, fellow users, let me know how do you like to curate posts on Leofinance? Are you the hard working type who likes to unearth gems from the deep ocean? Or someone who likes to read the posts that are already curated and ready to be rewarded? There are no right or wrong curation types, I guess :P
