Amplify Ability increases Magic Reflect, Return Fire, and Thorns damage to all enemy units by 1. Therefore, the Amplify Ability is very effective when used in combination with Magic Reflect Ability, Thorns Ability or Return Fire Ability against certain monsters in battles. I would also like to point out that the Amplify Ability is of no use unless it is used with at least one of these abilities. (Magic Reflect Ability, Thorns Ability or Return Fire Ability).
- Amplify Ability : Increases Magic Reflect, Return Fire, and Thorns damage to all enemy units by 1.
There are 11 cards with the Amplify Ability in the Splinterlands, 1 of which are Summoner cards. Among these cards, I can say that my favorite card is the Grandmaster Rathe Summoner card, because thanks to Grandmaster Rathe, all monsters in the team have the Amplify Ability.
Grandmaster Rathe is a Life Summoner that gives +1 Armor, Void Armor Ability, and Amplify Ability to all friendly Monsters. It costs 6 mana.
- Void Armor Ability : Magic attacks hit this Unit's armor before its Health.
- Amplify Ability : Monsters with the Amplify Ability increase Magic Reflect, Return Fire, and Thorns damage to all enemy units by 1.
Let's review the Amplify Ability in a battle.
BATTLE
Battle Ruleset
- Fire & Regret: All Monsters have the Return Fire ability.
- Briar Patch: All Monsters have the Thorns ability.
According to the rulesets of the battle, all monsters in this battle would have the Return Fire Ability and Thorns Ability. Additionally, I put Monsters with Magic Reflect Ability in the first two positions in my team.
In such a battle, I chose Grandmaster Rathe as the Summoner without hesitation, which meant that all monsters in the opposing team that did not have the Reflection Shield Ability would receive back damage after hitting their targets. I also increased the back damage by +1 with the Amplify Ability, which meant that the monsters on the opposing team would take serious damage.
Indeed, this strategy worked quite well in this battle, my team won this battle quite easily even though the opposing team was quite powerful. Also, it was quite remarkable that at the end of the battle, all the monsters in my team had the same health as when they started the battle, which clearly showed how well my strategy worked. That's why I put great emphasis on using the Amplify Ability in combination with the Magic Reflect Ability, Thorns Ability, or Return Fire Ability. I recommend watching this amazing and very interesting battle from the Battle Link so you can see how effective the Amplify Ability is in battles and how much it benefits the team.
Brief Descriptions of the Above Mentioned Abilities
- Return Fire Ability : When hit with a Ranged attack, Units with Return Fire will return half the damage (rounded up) back to their attacker.

- Magic Reflect Ability : When hit with Magic damage, does half the Magic damage (rounded up) back to the attacker.
- Reflection Shield Ability : This Unit doesn't take damage from Blast, Magic Reflect, Thorns, or Return Fire.
- Amplify Ability : Increases Magic Reflect, Return Fire, and Thorns damage to all enemy units by 1.
