Introduction
Recently, i had this thought which seems more like a question to me. Why are Genuine products being devalued ?. Couldn't think of new incident to relate this, but i have always witness good products that makes good sales for a certain season and eventually die down with time.
Why i was about making this post, i vividly remembered a brand of yogurt that was making lots of sales as at my time of growing up. This brand literally was the best and had no competitor in the market.
The quality and quantity made it the number choice of its consumers.
But over the years, i could barely remember that such product had once existed. Seeing lots of trashing products in the market with poor quality and quantity makes me wonder why the old brand had to die down. What possibly could have happened to such an amazing product ?.
This is not only applicable to the yogurt i just mentioned, but has also affected big company firms, who where delivering quality products to consumers.
An imaginary example is the popular Nokia and Blackberry industry, which where once top leading cell phones industry in the whole world but at a certain point, they products became devalued no matter what brand was released.
What sometimes happened to this companies delivering this genuine products is awful, as we hear certain cases of bankruptcy that affects this companies.
The issue of devaluation of genuine products has given opportunity to other companies who don't have consumers satisfaction at heart. Some of this companies comes up with strategies of delivering good products at first, but later make changes that something that does n't benefits consumers but only themselves.
Consumers are left with no choice than to manage the availble products in the market no matter how bad it is. Some of this consumers are also quick to forget those products that where satisfactory enough to get a five(5) star.
There are several reasons to which genuine products from big companies becomes devalued, which the three(3) main points who be explained below.
Economy Crisis
Many countries are currently going through economy crisis while inflation rate is on the high side. This has seen to affect not only the citizens, but the companies within.
The idea of inflation has increased the price of material, products and commodities, which has deprived many citizens from purchasing certain products no matter the quality it offers.
Consumers not longer purchasing products has reduced the amount of sales that a company usually makes, which we make them find it difficult to balance their books.
Poor Profit
Poor profit comes in when a company finds it difficult to balance their books from the product they sell. This has remarkably drifted so many in reducing the quality of product they have being offering to consumers.
The principal aim of every company or person is to make profits from the sales of every product or business. When this aim does n't seem achievable, quality of product has to be adjusted which might possibly devalue the product with time.
Competition
Competition is also one of the major cause of the devaluation of genuine product, as several companies are now trying to offer what others are offering.
At first, this new companies comes with a positive mindset to attract many consumers to themselves, but eventually changes their idea due to lack of cost of offering a genuine product.
Nokia and Blackberry happened to fall under such situation but their main fault was based on making changes with consumers choice.
My Opinion And Conclusion
Devaluation of genuine products has left us with managing so many junks available in the market today. Companies are now focused on offering services that's makes them the larger receiver of the benefits, neglecting consumer's satisfaction.
The idea of business has come a very long way. If we take a little time to picture out how products has being manufactured over the years, we would see a decrease in quality being offered.
