With the fast development and arising of Web3, Blockchains and Crypto related Eco systems, It most likely seems that everyone is not carried along.
According to a Statistics Research conductor in China as at June 2020, It was recorded that 940million internet users exist in the country having a internet penetration rate of 67.0%. While the rate of users aged 60 and above rose from 6.7% in March to 10.3% in June. In addition, in 2019, there were 253.88 million people aged 60 and above, of which only 60.56 million people had access to the Internet, thus leaving nearly 200 million elderly people out of the digital society.
I had this thought that one of the set of people not carried along are the "ELDERLY".Its not due to the fact that they ain't ready to learn, but as a result of lack of information not been passed across to them.
This might sounds cra*zy, but the world at large ain't driving attentions to the Elderly. Don't forget that few of the Elderly ones that uses internet are part of the Web2 Eco system by using centralized social medias, making calls, making normal bank transactions, etc.
But majority of them ain't aware of the blockchain system.
We all here can agree that the Hive Eco system has been of benefit to so many, but the Elderlies are just few.
Question of thought
- Will there be an adverse effect in the future of leaving them behind ?
- Will they by any chance meet up with the fast arising web3 development ?
Your opinion will be appreciated.
