Introduction
Recently, a new threading application was released by the meta company, the owners of facebook. Since the launching of this new social media platform(thread), in less than 24hrs, It has gained over 55million Users. Most users like content creators, where quick to creating account in this new social platforms, inorder to also increase their fans base, while others created a account because they want to follow trend.
I actually downloaded the app to check things out, but it appears i need to login using my instagram account. Unfortunately, i don't use instagram, so there was no way i could access the thread app.

I had to meet a friend of mine, who has created am account with the thread app. But to my greatest surprise, i couldn't spot a huge difference between the thread app and twitter. Then i ask myself this question..
Why are internet users easily attracted to what they already have ?.
Main Context
From the new social application, that has currently gain millions of attention, it is obvious that big tech firms can still make alot of money from internet users in this web3 age. Web3.0, which has given us the privilege to live in a decentralized world, and also earn even while using its package, is still very much neglected by most tech firms, as they prefer to capitalize on the fact web3.0 illiterates are more than the literate.
Big tech companies can easily attract internet users, to using their centralized package, by giving them what they need. No offence, but i think most persons who easily fall for web2 packages, are those that seek after entertainment, and not a decentralized world.
Even till this very minute, i keep asking myself different questions about this new threading app
- Why giving me a web2 package ?
- Why giving me a package that looks cloned ?
- Why giving me a package that carry out same duty as other packages.
And i hope other internet users can simply ask themselves this question.
Main Ideology
The main ideology in this content seems to be like a question we really need to ask ourselves..
Why are the web2 applications still trending very much, when a decentralized world is currently around us.
Could lack of illiteracy, be the cause to reasons why internet users seems to be easily attracted to web2 package ?.
My Opinion
I think this current happening has proven that the web3 illiteracy is still very much high, and i really hope people can easily learn, to making their lifes better.
But it seems some lawsuit might be coming up in few days, due to the similarities in twitter and thread, or maybe twitter might decide to pay back by cloning facebook 🤗.
In Conclusion
I totally lost interest in what most people found interest in, the moment i saw similarities between the threadicon and the ecency icon. So sad to see that billions of people are still out there, with a zero(0) knowledge about a decentralized world.
I hope i didn't use any antagonist or protagonist word in my write up
