Everyone needs a minimum of something. Some wish to have the resources to do whatever it is that they wish. Others are born with this advantage. Still, for us, mere mortals, we strive and struggle to make ends meet. Aside from pandemics, politics, or even family, we yearn for a day when our struggle is a little less burdensome. If the means to that end is participating in the company of writers focused on creating a better life for themselves and their community, then it is a price we can easily pay.
Financial Goals 2021 Initiative
@theycallmedan provided a great financial initiative for 2021. In his post entitled, "FinancialGoals2021 Initiative", he challenges LEO and HIVE members participating to answer the following questions:

What is going to be your investment strategy for 2021?
- I plan on engaging in short-term trading using multi-timeframe analysis over the course of 2021. At this time, I've been investing small amounts of funds in Bitcoin, Ethereum, and others after doing the technical and fundamental analyses that I've learned. I've lost about $100 in my various trades this month, but I've done ok overall.
- Regardless of where currencies like Bitcoins and Ethereum ended, I sold and bought where I planned. I held on to them only as long as expected.
- Every month, I will invest a small portion of my salary to furth invest in cryptocurrencies. I'll set my limits before purchasing and selling or buying more as I continue to decode past technical trading lessons.
- Profits I make from HIVE/LEO or any other cryptocurrency will be reinvested.
Do you have any specific assets that you want to invest in?
Cryptocurrency, or any other currency for that matter, seems to be akin to a warm furry kitty in your arms or sites. Of course, that's until it bites or shuns you. I have a preference for STEM and a growing inclination towards finances. So it's obvious for me to invest in STEM and LEO finances at this time.
I'm also investigating the sports side of HIVE and feel a growing market in that area. Since time immemorial, we have engaged in sport. Sports rivals religions and crosses social and ethnic boundaries like no other cultural behavior. I'm not surprised a sports community exists here on HIVE. I will also be unsurprised as it grows. I hope it will grow as intelligently as #LeoFinance.
What is your preferred investment?
My preferred investment beyond anything at this time is Leo and HIVE. I like the returns and, especially, the interaction I've had, especially on the LEO platform. I started delegating HIVE towards LEO and some of my staked LEO to LBI. Additionally, I've created a separate account named @scholaris.leo with the intent of maximizing curation on Leo without sacrificing significant HIVE while I do it.
Do you have a plan or a set of goals on how to use and grow your stake?
I will perform the following actions to use and grow my stake in HIVE overall during 2021:
- Re-organize finances to minimize wasteful spending and behaviors. A portion of this savings will be redirected towards LEO and HIVE finances.
- Allocate a portion of my monthly salary for use in crypto investments.
- Participate in, hopefully, a minimum of 10 daily curations in LEO.
- Continue to write for LEO at a minimum frequency of 1 post per week. The only time I have for writing is after my family is asleep for the night. It's the only time I have aside from my family, work, and school at this time.
- Reinvest earnings into LEO, HIVE, and Sports (order of preference).
Share your prediction for the price of HIVE and LEO in 2021
I anticipate Leo's value to reach above $1.00 before the end of the 1st quarter of 2021. @leofinance will accomplish at least most of their goals for 2021, assuming they can adapt to unforeseen issues that could occur. Of course, I'm not certain what these problems are at this time. I only know that a plan or strategy, no matter how robust, is only as good as how adaptable it can be towards change.
While I have high confidence in Leo's success, I feel that HIVE may rise in agreement with LEO, but not as significantly. I expect HIVE to remain at least 3-HIVE under LEO for the duration of the year.
I'll have more data for a prediction after reviewing the 2020 engagement on HIVE overall. I'm using Excel 365 from Microsoft for the first time, so I'm trying to get past the SPILL! Error. I normally utilize Excel 2016.
