Before today, the concept of useless Websites had never crossed my mind.
Websites are meant to help you with a service, hence they are meant to have some sort of use, right?
Wrong!!!
Because the #leofinance February monthly prompt challenge for today #funfriday asked about these strange things called "Useless Websites."
Hence I went to to investigate and what I saw really shook me😂.
There ARE useless websites and they are quite numerous.
Websites that don't do any useful thing and just entertains it's user in 'dumb fun'😂😂😂
After reading through, I complied a list of 5 of the best useless websites I saw.
1. Cat Bounce
Now this is without a doubt one of the most useless websites I've seen, and realistically one of the most stupid things I've come across😂😂
The website does nothing, once loaded, all that happens are five cats bouncing around your screen.
The only sense of excitement this screensaver/game kind of website has is the Make It Rain button, which makes it rain cats for like 3 seconds.
Then on with the bouncing 😂.
Regardless it is kind of calming to watch, the kind of website you'll spend time on but can't give any valid reason why.
2. Paper Toilet
Now there are useless websites, then there are stupid websites, then there are some which are just a little bit of both.
This one of those websites that are both stupid and useless 😂
All it comprises is a toilet roll placed on the screen.
The only sense of excitement may come from rolling the paper out until it finishes, you can also try and roll the paper back though, although it proves to be significantly harder.
Aside from those 2 movements, this is a stagnant room with a virtual toilet paper which you can roll and unroll but can't use🧻.
3. Ffffidget.
Now we're looking at the plain stupid.
This website is so stupid and useless that it's actually genius.
There's a fidget spinner on the screen. You're job is to turn the finger with your hands, just by swiping.
You can also stop said turning fidget spinner by tapping it.
Now this is a useless website which may possibly actually have a use in a sense maybe.
Maybe a bet or competition with your peers on how fast you can turn your spinners?
4. Long Doge Challenge
If you thought you've seen a stupid site before, you were terribly mistaken.
The long Doge Challenge has to be one of the most pointless challenge ever created by man.
When the screen has loaded, all you have to do is scroll down to increase the length of your doge and collect wows.
Incredibly stupid, isn't it?
Well that's what I thought at first till I started scrolling and reached 250 wows😂.
This screenshot was taken at when my doge was just 40 wows long though.
I think the driving factor for anyone who may engage in this site would be unparalleled boredom and the macho train of thoughts that he/she can reach the maximum amount of wows that can be collected.
5. Bored Button.
Now I was having quite a headache in trying to guess if this site is actually useless.
I know it's not useful in any sense, but is it useless?
The Bored button is a site for the bored, as clearly pointed in the image I have above.
Those bored at work, school, to death are welcome to the bored button.
If they hit the button, they'll be redirected to a series of quiz and games which although aren't phenomenally interesting, it does quell the boredom a bit.
I ran past several of the quizzes and games, hurtfully boring things, but at least less boring than "bored to death"😀
This is just a short list of the stupid, useless and fun websites out there, there are a lot more.
Like one I read about that although isn't in my list.
All it shows is a loading screen with a button that says be patient. You click on it, then it starts loading for a few seconds and we're back being patient again.
It sounds like a bad prank 😂
Regardless, this was a fun initiative to write about, it shows the absolute Boredom and bad humor of some game developers😂.
