I have come across this interesting site/discord called DSNR.ai. Using a discord based bot. Using a simple prompt for Midjourney the DSNR bot guides the user through an additional five questions and then it generates a more complete prompt. I’ve been playing with it and really enjoying it.
I decided to play with the punk styles of images in this post using DSNR and Midjourney. I used the same base prompt with every image in this post. The header image used something I’d not used before, it’s a multi-exposure of five of the punk styles.

I then added the style of punk for the DSNR part of the flow. When I took the prompt over to Midjourney I added the image ratio to one use of it to generate a photo and a second use of it I added coloring page references and ratio. I also looked up some details about each of the punk style types.
Steampunk
Steampunk finds its base in science-fiction combined with Victorian-era elements and then add in futuristic tech. Elements like brass, gears, cogs and steam-powered machinery can often be found in the designs.

Chocolatepunk
One of the neat things I’ve been learning in this process is that generative art doesn’t fall into just established styles. You can have some fun and do mashups of styles and see what happens. In this one, in honour of the upcoming Easter observances, I mashed up chocolate and punk to see what happened.

These images were fun to create. I was able to purposely select elements that were starkly different from each other during the prompt building process. The developers have created a subscription plan for DSNR which I found inexpensive enough to subscribe to. Developers gotta eat too.
There is still the Kawaii and Goth styles for me to play with. They will be coming.
